A lot of rooms but some must sharing the bathroom.
Interior was really nice ! Place was quite clean and cozy! Short driving distance to Jonker Walk :)
Worst hotel ive ever stayed! We booked directly through the hotel website for king bed and no other options stated. When arrived they said theres no king bed available Only twin bed instead and the price is the same. The web didnt mention “type of bed is subjected to availability” and they explained to me that we should call first if we want to know whether king bed was available. The worst part about staying there was the bed wasnt comfortable at all, the aircond was so old the bathroom was shower was so old, dirty and we cant control the hot water properly and the tv was old and not clear at all! Reception staff was not helpful. Breakfast was just OK but not recommended to have your breakfast included. As couple we were totally unhappy staying at emperor hotel.
Superb budget hotel. They're maintaining the 4 star style. But the toilets are ok.
Front desk, building maintenance, the 'guards', restaurant staff were all warm and welcoming. Kudos. Unobstructed view all around.

I recently stayed at emperor. The hotel is old for sure however it has amazing nostalgic feeling of the 90's. Not everyone would like it but I loved my stay. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was totally amazing. Walkable distance to Jonker Street 1.2 KM approx. Also I was at the 19th floor view was breathtaking. I would recommend to people who like old school feel.

What can I say except that each time in Melaka I will stop at Bei Shan to eat my lunch or dinner....is that good. Items not to be missed is their cod fish. Always ordered the yin-yang cod fish....one piece steam and one piece fried. Their kong-bak and bun. Oyster omelette, fried beancurd and the veg that has lotus, nut, French bean etc

Reliably good food, every dish tastes fresh and well cooked. It's a good option when you are looking for Chinese cuisine. Every dish I've had on multiple visits over the last years taste good.

Lovely place. Ample parking, restaurant is big, very clean, spacious with high ceiling. Food is delicious esp the fish head curry and oyster mushroom. A must go if in malacca. I always make it a point to eat there when in malacca.

Too pack. Seafood supply (e.g. crab, prawns) are slow to be refilled. Too many tables for such a cramped space.

1 star - friendliness of the staffs & the boss
1 star - the big fresh crab. Fried chicken is ok
Worth to try once, there is special soup base (cheese & satay sauce soup). However I will not be back the second time, because:
1. We tried to make a reservations, the staff said there is no such need. When we arrived, we need to wait as the restaurant already full, crowded. There isnt really a place to even stand & wait
2. Food counter cramp in a small space, the plate to take food is so small your food just overflow & drop to the floor. Need to take many times for small amount of vegetables.
3. Over busy staffs, some food & drinks didnt get replenished and it's hard to get anyone to help you
4. The soup gets very salty
5. You need to pay by cash, they dont accept cards
6. The crab's sauce is not nice, spoiled the crab's freshness.
7. Overall it is a very chaotic experience..

This is a western restaurant which serves pork free dishes. There is a wide menu selection for food and drinks. The standard of food served is good. Restaurant service and cleanliness.levels are good. There is a quiet section available in the restaurant. Their prices are reasonable. Parking is road side parking. With some difficulty, wheel chair dependent customers can patronise this restaurant. Overall, it is a good place to have a nice meal.
