My recent stay at Kinan Retreat in the Maldives was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that made me feel relaxed and at home.

The property is beautiful, and perfectly located to enjoy the natural beauty of the Maldives. The rooms were clean and comfortable, offering stunning views and a truly relaxing atmosphere.

A special mention to the staff—they were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their service truly made the experience exceptional.

Whether you’re looking for a quiet escape or a memorable island getaway, Kinan Retreat is a fantastic choice. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Maldives. 🌴✨

Our five days at Kinan Retreat were unforgettable. We stayed in a Super Deluxe room, which was an important factor in our choice as these rooms face the ocean directly. The rooms are fine—although they could benefit from some renovation, everything was clean and well maintained. Breakfast and dinner were also good; the selection is not very large, but it is more than sufficient, and we were always able to eat well. However, this is not what truly defines Kinan. What makes this place special are the wonderful people who keep everything running. Kinan is one big family, and if you choose them, you become a part of it. We met truly amazing people, and we definitely left a piece of our hearts there while our souls were completely recharged. I must especially highlight Hussain from the Kinan Beach Club. His enthusiasm and attitude are simply incredible. Before our excursion, we were promised that we would definitely see a turtle while snorkeling—and he did not stop until he found one for us. Thank you for the conversations, the countless anecdotes, the laughter, and the immense joy you brought into our days. This place is not just an accommodation; it is a feeling. I sincerely and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit a local island. It is the perfect choice. Thank you for everything, Kinan Team. You touched my soul and stole a piece of my heart. 💙

The beach and lagoon in front of the hotel are the best in Fulidhoo, so if you're coming to Fulidhoo for the lagoon, this is the place to stay. It's right next to the jetty, which makes getting on and off speedboats super convenient. Bikini Beach isn't far either, so you can go swimming. The hotel offers excursions, but we weren't able to book the snorkeling trip. The room was good too, though the hot water for the shower was a bit limited; we had to pause and let it heat up again, which is normal for an island. All in all, we made some wonderful memories.

This cute guesthouse is perfectly situated with easy access to beaches and diving. Staff are friendly and create a relaxed atmosphere. I only have 2 drawbacks which is no coffee/ tea station in the room and the other was hot water in the shower felt like it was on a timer which meant after 2 minutes it went Luke warm. For a guest house on a local island it is worth a visit

I had an amazing stay at Kinan Retreat in August 2025. The staff is extremely nice and welcoming, the rooms are clean and the available underwater activities (sharks and turtles trips etc.) have good prices! I will definitely come back if I have the opportunity.

I am not giving 5 stars only because the rooms closer to the stairs are a bit noisy, as you can sometimes hear people talking or walking to their rooms. If possible, it would be nice to have more vegetables at the restaurant besides chicken and rice dishes.

We stayed here as a dive and stay package with Fulidhoo dive. We had the king terrace room, which was the best room in the hotel. The wifi was excellent. (I think being the only room on the third floor we had our own router). The room was large, the bed was comfy, the bathroom was just okay. The breakfast and dinners were varied. Everything was served buffet style, and while good, some of the food could be served a bit warmer. The service was friendly. It's a wonderful place to stay and get the local island experince.

The hotel is conveniently located on the left hand side facing the pier, then in the form of a cabin, entering the hotel is required to take off your shoes, next to the hotel is the restaurant, then the staff can help book the boat from Fuli to Male, the 2nd morning departure at 6:45.

We were picked up at the Velana airport after an overnight stay at the local island, with transfer fee of $40 USD per person to take the speedboat to Fulidhoo, where Kinan Retreat is at.

After alighting from the jetty at Fulidhoo, it's a short 5 mins walk to the Retreat. Welcome drinks and hot hand towels were offered.

We missed the morning excursion trip but decided to go for it the next day. The room provided can have an extra bed for $15 USD. Fulidhoo is a small local island but it's the favorite hangout for stingrays and nurse sharks. You will be able to spot these lovely creatures around the shore, especially near evening time when there are people who start feeding them. You will be able to get up close and even touch them, but with caution.

We went on an evening fishing trip that cost $45 USD per person, inclusive of a BBQ dinner for the dishes that were caught.

On the next day before leaving for our resort island stay, we took the excursion trip to see dolphins, snorkeling with nurse sharks at SharkPoint and went turtle spotting, all these for $40 USD per person. Underwater videos were captured and shared by WhatsApp. Great service by the counter lady Shahidah.

I will recommend this Retreat to visitors, and you will not be disappointed with the time spent on the island.

Absolutely amazing place. Always smiling and helpful staff,nothing was problem for them. Location is absolutely stunning. I have dinner on the beach and looking at sharks while I'm writing this review. Rooms are large enough, very clean, but some equipment would deserved to be refurbished but it was no problem for us. We definitely will come back.
