We first visited this island in 2019. Hubby is a keen snorkeller so hence booking again. We booked in January 2025 for two weeks in january 26. We didn't know it had had a make over so was pleasantly surprised with all of the building changes. We had an amazing week staying at Ihuru with our family, only great things to say! The island is beautiful with its lush vegetation, white sandy beaches and amazing reef. A tranquil and picturesque island, the sunset at the Lighthouse Lounge Bar was absolutely stunning, the snorkeling experience was superb, and we encountered many sharks. But what surprised us most was the impeccable and meticulous service. The pick-up and drop-off times were perfectly arranged according to our itinerary, and there were also thoughtful services such as bed setup and snacks!

I was really looking forward to this trip, but the weather wasn't kind. It rained for three days straight, with not even a single sunny day. Even the water bungalows had bugs, so be careful. The drinking water was full of bugs overnight (the bottle cap was closed at night). I don't know how the bugs got in, so I just boiled the water afterwards. It was a bit of a shame.

The water villa with a pool that I stayed in was newly renovated and had relatively new facilities. The best thing about Baros Island is the excellent snorkeling environment! You can see all kinds of fish and swim with small sharks.

We absolutely made the right choice for our Maldives vacation with the Baros Resort. The accommodations at Ersha Sanshui gave us the best experience. Was a really wonderful experince. I dont wanna give it a 5 Star rating because I have not visited any other place like the same. I wish the beach near the water villaa had more sand that coral reefs. The view is just amazing, Sunrise or Sunset whatever the time of the day. If you are looking for a short stay I would hightly recommend this.

I stayed in Kahanbu Ocean view for 12 days for a surftrip. The house is so pretty with a big garden of palms. I always eat in the house , It was always tasty (I dream to eat Mashuni again!). We have visited Kahanbu for dining a few times. The host is Italian and the food is both fantastic and cheap. 15 euros included, salad, fruit and water. In addition, they have the most beautiful and very well-kept garden on the whole island, directly down to the best part of the beach.

We can’t recommend Kahanbu enough. Only 100m away from the fake surfer scene but feels like another world. Quiet, calm beach. Great snorkeling. Right next to the boat to Chickens. Cokes easily checked from the garden sunbeds. Breakfast and hanging in the garden was magic. Giulia was like an old friend after the first day. We loved it.
