Baros Maldives in Male

A tranquil and picturesque island, the sunset at the Lighthouse Lounge Bar was absolutely stunning, the snorkeling experience was superb, and we encountered many sharks. But what surprised us most was the impeccable and meticulous service. The pick-up and drop-off times were perfectly arranged according to our itinerary, and there were also thoughtful services such as bed setup and snacks!

I was really looking forward to this trip, but the weather wasn't kind. It rained for three days straight, with not even a single sunny day.

Even the water bungalows had bugs, so be careful. The drinking water was full of bugs overnight (the bottle cap was closed at night). I don't know how the bugs got in, so I just boiled the water afterwards. It was a bit of a shame.

The water villa with a pool that I stayed in was newly renovated and had relatively new facilities. The best thing about Baros Island is the excellent snorkeling environment! You can see all kinds of fish and swim with small sharks.

We absolutely made the right choice for our Maldives vacation with the Baros Resort. The accommodations at Ersha Sanshui gave us the best experience. The service was warm and attentive, and the food was delicious and healthy. Although it was rainy season and the weather wasn't great, we still had a wonderful holiday, eating, drinking, and relaxing. Thank you, Baros Resort, and thank you, Maldives! We'll definitely be back to this beautiful, green ocean world!

Best resort I’ve been to. From arrival to departure, our butler Shinta was so thoughtful and accommodating. ALL the staff from at Baros is so friendly and always has a smile on their face.

If you love snorkelling - this is perfect. Easy snorkel and a variety of fish to discover, lots of reef sharks and we even saw sea turtles!

Twilight fishing was a great activity! Food was above my expectations.

It was definitely an experience beyond expectations. The atmosphere was great. The suite was very large. It was a Balos villa with its own swimming pool. I especially liked the semi-open design of the bathroom. I could enjoy the green plants in the yard while taking a bath. The beach was right outside. I will definitely come again.

This was my fourth trip to the Maldives but first in many years. In the past I always stayed at an island that required an airline transfer + flight which took another half-day or more. This time I chose Baros based off reviews, being part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, and location. The location could not have been better. After landing in Male it took about 5 minutes to deplane + another 5 to go through immigration and customs. Moments later I was met by the hotel staff and placed on a speedboat. 30 minutes later was I was in paradise and headed to my villa. The entire staff was exceptional and Sita took care of EVERYTHING. The villa was beautiful, the beaches pristine, the meals delicious, the service top-notch, and the dolphin cruise was extraordinary. I cannot wait to return!

If you're seeking late-night parties and DJs, this might not be the resort for you.

Now, let's dive into the details. The resort is conveniently located just a 20-25 minute speedboat ride from Male airport. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and the island is small enough to walk around in 15-20 minutes.

We stayed in a beach villa with a private pool and half-board. The pool was shaded by palm trees during the hottest parts of the day, and the beach was simply perfect. The online photos might appear a bit dated, but the reality is much better. Our dedicated butler, Reema, was incredibly kind and attentive, making our babymoon special with hot baths, flower arrangements, and private celebrations. She took excellent care of us throughout our stay.

The resort features three restaurants and a charming bar. The food at Lime, the main restaurant, was exceptional—everything we tried was delicious. Although the breakfast buffet wasn't extensive, it was complemented by an à la carte menu that offered a variety of tasty options. Lala made our dinners extra special with his food recommendations and attentiveness to our preferences.

Overall, our entire trip was a success, and the Baros team truly made it memorable.
