The Rose Hostel - St.Julians

Please do not trust other reviews.
1. Mould all over walls - clear health risk
2. Loud pipes every time a toilet is flushed. Will keep you up all night.
3. They advertise to have co-working dorms, whatever that means. No place to do your work at all, as there's not even a common area.
4. Poor customer service, Hasan (see below for his review on his own hostel), refused to refund me my next 11 nights after one night of stay.
5. "Shared Kitchen" consists of a 1sqm room with a microwave, kettle, and mini fridge. No place to eat in the entire hostel.
6. The least of my concerns was that it was dirty and definitely not cleaned daily.

My mum died just before my holiday. These miserable people refuse any refund or credit. However as they did ask for a review here it is. Don't go here looking for humanity.

-I have not many experience with hostels therefore my comment might be exaggerated. So we were there as a group of 25 people and we booked 5 month in advance and received a mail for the chambers, so our people were excited to sleep in a room full of people they know. As we arrived they didn't know anything about it and we had to separate the people. So organization 1/10...
-At least they are friendly and tried to find a solution.
-The hygiene of the rooms were good, I would say 7/10.
-There were not enough bathrooms but this was not so problematic.
-I would certainly not recommend the breakfast, it was too expensive for what it was, a toast, a muffin and coffee for 6 euros per day just go somewhere else
+ we asked 4 times for bags to take away for the airport early in the morning at 6 and the said they will prepared it and of course we did not receive any bags so again organization 1/10
To conclude I would recommend the hostel for everyone who is on budget and just want to have an ok sleeping place

It was a horrible experience! We booked a few rooms (we were a big group) and they send as a confirmation that we had three rooms for ourselves. When we arrived, they didn’t plan for us and we had to sleep with strangers in our room. They were really unfriendly and didn’t want to give us our booked rooms for ourselves! We are never coming back and I would never recommend this establishment.

I dont know how this hostel has 10 ratings on Agoda. It must be fake reviews. The hostel is dirty! I receptionist this morning seemed clueless n promised she was going to leave me sheets n towels on the entrance sofa but when I arrived at 11pm, there was nothing! She claimed she was going to change my bed but she didn’t! The only thing that deserves a star is the location.

These pics were taken when I came back to the hostel at 11pm. I came to the hostel at 9am to drop off my stuff thinking perhaps someone will clean the bathroom midday but nothing.. It seems like it wasnt cleaned for days!
