Fairfield Inn & Suites Mexico City Vallejo in Mexico City

Picked this hotel randomly for my first visit to Mexico City. Upon entering, the lobby is very nice.. It was however, a little confusing to take the elevator to the lobby, but I eventually figured it out.. easy check-in. I enjoyed the room that they gave me because I can see out of the window and look at all the things that were going on. The bed was regular The water pressure was OK not the best, but not the worst .the room was clean. The housekeepers were very efficient in keeping the room clean. The first night I arrived we asked for a couple of blankets because it was cold. The lady at the front desk said sure I will bring them up.. but she never came and we did not check in until 1030 at night and we were very tired from the flight so we just went to sleep and it was very cold. The next day I asked for the blankets and they bought them promptly along with fresh towels and kept the room clean every day. I really love that The hotel is located right in the mall. This is very convenient to shopping and lots of restaurants. So the location is very excellent. We were supposed to stay four days but ended up having to leave on the third day . because Unfortunately, there was a very bad snow storm in the US coming to my area where I had to fly back to, so I had to cut my time a day early. Because it was a possibility they were going to cancel the flights the next day so I immediately contacted Marriott who told me I needed to let the people at the hotel know. It was way in advance of 24 hours that I went to the desk to let them know, and the man at the desk said he would let his supervisor know. The morning that I checked out, my husband spoke to the person at the front desk. He said he informed his supervisor they would refund the money, but it would take a while.. I'm not quite sure how long this will be so I will come back on here to give an update whether or not they refunded me for the last day I could not stay. so I will update this review when they have fully refunded the last day I did not stay.
So at this point, I would definitely stay here again when I return.

Great hotel near food, directly connected to a mall with lots of services and not too far from the airport. Great option for business travel

Nice clean place without any bells and whistles. Front desk and check in was smooth. The room servie was amazing every single day, they were timely and did a good job. The layout can be confusing in the beginning as lobby is on the top floor and you need to go down to get to the rooms, which means every time someone has to step outside, they need to take two different elevators.
Reasons for why it was not a perfect stay: the breakfat menu was exactly the same every single day of our four night stay, there is aboslutely no variaiton. On the frist day breakfast, the server was quite pushy and insitant for the tips upfront, we did not encounter that server again in the next three days. Third reason is pricing of beverages in the small lobby. A single one liter water bottle should not be charged at 50 peso while downstairs at Soriana the exact same chilled bottle is available is 11 peso.

The hotel facilities are a bit old, and the surrounding restaurants, supermarkets, and shopping malls are very close. The hotel cleans very seriously every day

The hotel is a little far from the city center and there seems to be no attractions around

It's pretty good...

The hotel is just above the shopping mall with a direct entrance which is super convenient. Overall experience is impressive.
