Eco Villas Merak in Virpazar

Very disappointing experience at Eco Villas Merak & Winery. At 4:00 pm we personally went to the property to ask about a wine tasting and were told to return at 6:00 pm. We came back at 6:05, waited outside until 6:10 with no information, and when we finally entered, the staff arrogantly told us it was “too late” and refused us entry because the room was full.

The issue is not being late — the issue is that despite going in advance to make sure everything was arranged, we were left waiting at the door, ignored, and then treated with arrogance. Zero communication, zero professionalism, and absolutely no sense of hospitality.

For a place that calls itself a “resort & winery,” the experience was shocking. Many other wineries in Montenegro actually know how to treat their guests — this one clearly does not. Not recommended.

So rude. For 10 minutes of late they jumped our tasting. People in this area are not so gently and this is the example.

We arrived at 6:10 PM. YOU SAW US playing with your kittens (who welcomed us better than you) just outside in the front of The door, but you went back in, without saying anything. We waited for someone to greet us because we are polite people and don't enter a private space without permission, and that's why a few minutes passed. A good host would have found a solution, but you are not. You and your entire village need to learn to respect tourists, the people who come to feed you.

Went here for wine and liquor tasting. The cave was good, they explained about the wines and the wine tasting was reasonable. But we felt pretty cheated when the juice which was bottled in a small starbucks coffee bottle costed us 8€ , which is kind of ripoff? Which we felt very very expensive for Montenegro. But the juice was good.
