Massive convention hotel in a relatively small town, which actually was a nice break from the small coziness of our Marrakech riad.

The hygiene of the room was good, but we booked a room with two beds. The distance between the two beds is so small that they feel like they are connected together. And because it is a resort hotel, there is no place to put the computer in the room, and there is no decent table. It seems like people over there don't use computers at all when they're on vacation. The hotel is great, a pleasant welcome with mint tea, the room is very spacious, several swimming pools, in the evening there are nice activities with the possibility of shisha, the breakfast is good, the dinner varies. And if you want to go out to the nightclub, it's good too.

Nice welcome with tea and cakes, fairly lively room service, the two swimming pools are very good, one of which is natural without chlorine, breakfast there is really a choice and a waiter at the top. Advantage burkini ok shuttle that brings you back to town every hour, with family or friends, a nice place.

When we entered the hotel, we were immediately impressed by the beautiful lobby. Our room was equally lovely – newly renovated with a tasteful and modern design. A very nice touch was the daily in-room snacks, such as nuts and fruit, which our kids especially enjoyed. The breakfast was also excellent, offering a wide selection including sweets, fresh yogurt, hummus, salads, local marmalade varieties...

The free hot breakfast was fantastic, with fresh waffles, classic English breakfast and even porridge, perfect for all tastes. The room was clean, quiet and cozy, with a comfy bed, ergonomic work desk and free high-speed WiFi, ideal for both leisure and business trips. 24-hour front desk offered great service with luggage storage, and the 24-hour gym with Peloton bikes was a nice bonus.

Superb Riad inside the fortified Medina of Essaouira. Great team on reception able to speak French and English. Capacious rooms with wonderful ensuite. We stayed at this Riad for 2 nights. The environment is lovely and the owners are the most helpful. They accommodate all your wishes. The woman is a great cook and the two men are always there to help. We used the spa and had a massage and and Hammam which was great. The Riad is about a 10 min ride from Essouria. I highly recommend.

Fantastic riad. Our favorite out of four cities in Morocco. The ocean view suite was absolutely fabulous. Perfect views any time of day. Amazing to watch and listen to the waves. Breakfast on terrace simply spectacular. Very pleasant staff. Would gladly return there!

A pearl in the Medina indeed. A wonderful room, facing the pounding Atlantic, with easy access to all of Essaouira. The breakfast was a great start to the day. My hamman and massage -- like my wife's pedicure and facial -- were refreshing, relaxing and effective. Add the amazing staff, and we'd come here anytime Essaouira calls.

We stayed in the Riad Perle D’eau for two nights and loved it so much that we booked four more. Firstly, if you have never strayed in a riad then DO IT. They are like Doctor Who’s Tardis., A small unassuming entrance and then boom, inside an oasis of beauty. Villa Quieta is a little further away from the medina than other lodging, but DO NOT let that discourage you. It is a lovely stroll down the promenade to the medina or a 7 dirham taxi ride. Beautiful property with garden and pool. Not the closest to the Medina but a great location next to the beach. Quick taxi or easy 30 min walk. Nice clean, comfortable, and big room with good lighting. Friendly, helpful staff who got me into Dar Baba last minute (worth a dinner). In one word: perfect. For once you have a riad with outward facing windows and not dark and cramped. Take the suite on the rooftop if you can, not so much for the extra space but for the extra light and the feeling of being "beyond it". Service, breakfast etc etc all perfect. Close to the beach and the market

The Hotel Ocean Vagabond (not to be confused with the bar of the same name at the other end of the beach!) is in an ideal location a couple of hundred metres from the beautiful beach and very close to the medina.
