Villa Quieta in Essaouira

Villa Quieta is a little further away from the medina than other lodging, but DO NOT let that discourage you. It is a lovely stroll down the promenade to the medina or a 7 dirham taxi ride. It is absolutely worth it to stay here. My friend and I stayed here during our two day trip to Essaouira. We splurged for the large suite and we were so glad we did. It was really spacious and could easily accommodate a family of 4. We felt like royalty! There were so many closets - 7 in total! The bathroom was bigger than my bedroom at home! The bed was luxuriously comfortable. I had the best night sleep in a very long time. The private terrace was perfect for morning coffee and just looking at the view. The staff are simply wonderful. Everyone was very kind, helpful, and polite. The morning breakfast, which was included, was delicious and plentiful enough to tide us over until dinner. I plan to return to Essaouira for a longer visit and will absolutely stay at Villa Quieta.

Beautiful property with garden and pool. Not the closest to the Medina but a great location next to the beach. Quick taxi or easy 30 min walk. Nice clean, comfortable, and big room with good lighting. Friendly, helpful staff who got me into Dar Baba last minute (worth a dinner). The automated shutters were a nice feature if you want to sleep in.

This is a beautiful property on a quiet street. The staff are very professional and laid-back. The breakfasts are great. You can order eggs as well. I wish we had more time to enjoy the various sitting areas, but we were out and about when we were there.

Just spent our short stay in Essaouira at this hotel and I could not have asked for more. It’s close to the hustle and bustle of the Medina but yet tranquil and serene. I had a room with a balcony so could sit and watch the sunset over the sea which is my favourite place to be. We were three ladies on a short break and the suite we had could more than accommodate our needs. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the breakfast was delicious and the pool area situated in beautiful gardens all worthy of my faultless review

Very pleasant hotel. Spacious, lovely rooms and comfortable beds. Swimming pool was lovely and really nice place to chill for a few hours. Breakfast was fine, same everyday though and far too much food, I hope the leftover isn't wasted. Staff were quiet and helpful. We just found it lacked atmosphere, quite a functional feeling to the place. Bill needs to be settled by cash which was a surprise for a 4 star hotel and they said they didn't have any change at all either, which seems odd. Hotel is an easy 20 min walk to the heart of Essaouira, heed all the warnings that this place is seriously windy!!!

Without a doubt, Essaouira is the ultimate place to be! Bassma is an exceptionally professional and consistently goes the extra mile to assist guests. The garden and the swimming pool are undisputed gems. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, with proximity to the beach and a mere ten-minute walk from the city centre.

What a beautiful place to stay. Ideal to relax with a lovely garden and small swimming pool. Breakfast was great and the rooms were delightful. The staff polite and attentive. They arranged a taxi transfer for us from Marrakech. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

We spend 8 days at Villa Quieta and had the opportunity to spend time in different rooms, because of our late minute booking. This hotel is gorgeous (original Marrocan style) and will placed just in front of the beach. Villa Quita’s team is just top! Ready to help whenever needed. We’ve liked the atmosphere of being a smaller hotel compared to others, it is there for well suited for families or groups. We had 2 days of introduction to kitesurfing with Kamal. A top experience! Because the wind was between 50-60km/h, he took us to a place which was perfect to get introduced to it, even with these extreme (for beginners) conditions. I’d advise this hotel for the following reasons: Cosy and authentic hotel Great quality (large) rooms Fantastic team ! Close (1km) to the fabulous medina - and yet not having the noise of staying in the medina Btw, plenty of top restaurants in the medina!! Great instructors for kitesurfing and surfing 50 meters from the beach The garden is an oasis of peace Airport of Essaouira is at 15 min Definitely will come back!

The staff went out of their way to help and make our stay enjoyable. The hotel is an excellent example of Morrocan architecture, decor, and hospitality...a true delight!
