There is a big swimming pool which is great! It's just that the weather has been a bit cold these two days, which is perfect for playing on the beach and swimming with your children!

Such a beautiful place! I stayed there during my visit to Essaouira and it was awesome. It's a bit pricey for Morocco but considering what was included with the package, I'll take it! Will make sure to check in again

When we entered the hotel, we were immediately impressed by the beautiful lobby. Our room was equally lovely – newly renovated with a tasteful and modern design

In addition, some of the advertised amenities were not available during our stay – the kids’ room (including table tennis) was closed, and the indoor pool was not accessible

While the outdoor pool is beautiful, it is not heated, so especially on windy days in Essaouira, we would have really appreciated having access to the indoor pool

This Riad is a gem for anyone traveling alone. It’s stylishly puristic and located in the best part of town, but still surprisingly quiet

She is really kind from the first moment. The terrace is nice and they serve the breakfast there, really nice to have it seeing the sea. Really good location, in the Medina, near the sea

My partner and I stayed at the Riad Belle Essaouira for 7 days and loved it. The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Breakfast on the terrace needs to be mentioned, the ocean view is breath taking

This is a really nice and warm place to be in Essaouira. The girl that owned that place is so nice and the rooms are really beautiful and with lot of details done with lot of care and love

They were both charming and hard working, always ready for a joke and teaching us about local culture. Essaouira is a picturesque old fishing town with much to see

We enjoyed our stay at Riad Belle during the Gnoua music festival this past June. It was in a very good location for the festival in the heart of the old city

My friend upgraded to a pool-facing room with balcony, which was much, much nicer and a lot quieter! I would have liked a kettle in the room, or tea/coffee facilities downstairs. The nearest cafe was 5 min walk away

The pool & small garden were lovely, we had a dip every afternoon & chilled out in the little garden 'hut'. The staff are really lovely - very friendly & helpful

Very simple hotel in a good location at the entrance to the medina. Excellent location right by the sea and at the entrance to the medina. Note for children: it's just a sofa, not a sofa bed

Friendly and helpful staff add to the relaxing comfort of this very reasonably priced hotel which is only 3 blocks walk ro the beach and main promenade

I loved my little balcony and the security screen so I could leave door open and get sea breeze during day and night. Breakfasts are plentiful and Karim will help with any queries. A thoroughly lovely experience

My stay was generally good, just a little disappointed by the level of hygiene. My room was not cleaned throughout my stay even though I stayed 7 days.

Quite a tired property and needs some serious updating.

I found it surprising that there was no little safe in the room which is very common to most hotels and that there was no “Do not Disturb / Please clean the room” notice to hang on the door, resulting in the chambermaid coming to do her work before we left the room for the day

I did however feel that the outside looks tired and is in need of a facelift (repainting) and that paint flaking off the wooden guard rail on the balcony of our room so that too is in really urgently in need of re-painting

The other facilities in it such as the bathroom were fine except that the both the toilet seat and cistern were loose. We managed with that but they should be looked at soon and fixed

Not her fault and not embarrassing but a door card would have been handy. The staff are very pleasant and the services offered here, such as breakfast and evening meal are ok

As to other services, we found that the internet in our part of the hotel was very poor, having no connection most of the time and also the TV had a very poor reception

Despite reporting the window to the concierge, no one bothered to come to clean it in the seven days that we were there. At night the big window rattled a bit too

We had an amazing stay at Dar Nafoura! The staff is absolutely lovely here and made sure to make us feel at home! They really are the nicest people!! Also, I recommend trying Khadija’s food, it’s delicious!

The staff at the hotel were friendly and professional and were really nice to put up with my almost nonexistent French. I would recommend for authentic stays

Lovely little Road, nice breakfast but carbohydrate heavy so be aware diabetics. Room and bed were comfortable and hot water working well

Location: The location is great. It's very central, just 5 minutes to the main market. Hotel/Riad: Riad itself is already a bit older, everything is in ok condition but it needs some renovations soon

However the bathroom needs work : barely any water comes out of the shower and there isn't always hot water. The open shower format makes it so that water gets everywhere

Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including plenty of choices for vegans, and the staff was very accommodating. We would absolutely return and would definitely stay at this hotel again

The room is small but cozy, with a balcony with a gorgeous ocean view, a comfortable bed, excellent linens, a kettle, tea bags, and coffee. Parking is available for hotel guests

It was really spacious and could easily accommodate a family of 4. We felt like royalty! There were so many closets - 7 in total! The bathroom was bigger than my bedroom at home! The bed was luxuriously comfortable

The hotel was spotlessly clean, the breakfast was delicious and the pool area situated in beautiful gardens all worthy of my faultless review

Villa Quieta is a little further away from the medina than other lodging, but DO NOT let that discourage you. It is a lovely stroll down the promenade to the medina or a 7 dirham taxi ride

Without a doubt, Essaouira is the ultimate place to be! Bassma is an exceptionally professional and consistently goes the extra mile to assist guests. The garden and the swimming pool are undisputed gems

We stayed at this Riad for 2 nights. The environment is lovely and the owners are the most helpful. They accommodate all your wishes. The woman is a great cook and the two men are always there to help

Named after the French engineer credited with stopping the dunes encroaching on Essaouira (something he achieved in part by planting eucalyptus trees, which you can still see on the approach to the city), Riad Watier has an airy, bohemian atmosphere, entirely in keeping with the vibe of Essaouira’s historic medina

The all-female staff were welcoming and gave some excellent lunch and dinner recommendations (among them Love by Caravane, with excellent food and cabaret - worth a try), and were very helpful in booking tables

Note that you can’t drive right up to the hotel — something to consider if you have mobility issues, though there are porters who will help you with your baggage

We had a fantastic stay at Riad Émotion. From the first moment entering the Riad, you can sense the serene, quiet, and calming atmosphere. It is stunningly decorated with local art in both common areas and the rooms

The homemade breakfasts were a particular delight each morning, including yogurt, fresh fruits, eggs whichever way you like them, perfectly curated coffee, mouth watering crepes, jams, honeys and cakes

A hidden gem on the roof top with relaxing places to relax and views of the town. The atmosphere of the whole Road was one of calm serenity. Would love to return one day…

Our neighbors were a bit noisy throughout the night when they would get up to use the shared restroom - they would turn the light on in the hall (which was bright through the windows) and close/lock the door loudly (rooms are not sound proof) - but that’s not quite the fault of the riad! Overall, great time and very glad we did not stay in the busy Medina! That is a bit of a zoo in there! It was nice...

Also, a mosque at the end of the street is near, so you may wake up around 5 AM. The breakfast was good and varied enough. Various activities are suggested in a comprehensive booklet given by the hotel owners

The Riad was really beautiful and we got a nice big room. The hosts Nadia and Thierry also gave us some good recommendations. And the breakfast, which was served on the rooftop terrace, was just awesome.

It is a really nice riad in a great location. The rooms are beautiful and the service was excellent. We made a mistake with the booking and I was prompt solved by the owners without hesitation

The riad is located about 20 minutes by foot to the medina, and about 5-10 minutes to the beach. Nearby is a place with many cafes to drink and eat something with good quality and prices

We spent 1 night in this riad after a few intense days in the Marrakesh region. We've been very glad to with the location and upon our arrival the personal has been very pleasant, respectful and accommodating with us

For once you have a riad with outward facing windows and not dark and cramped. Take the suite on the rooftop if you can, not so much for the extra space but for the extra light and the feeling of being "beyond it"

Park at the port, there are porters with carts who will take your luggage to the riad for a small fee and show you the way. And special thanks to the owners and staff, they are very welcoming and friendly

A picture perfect turquoise and white oasis in the city, within a walled garden/terrace. Beautiful gardens and bright paintwork makes Vent Des Dunes the prettiest destination in the neighbourhood

Our room was on the top floor. Hiking up all the stairs is not for the weak. There did not appear to be any rooms on the bottom floor so I don't think this place would work for anyone with mobility issues

A 3 minute walk to the Medina and restaurants. Easily accessible to the beach and anywhere else you would want to walk to in Essaouira. As the pics show it's a tall building with no elevator

There’s a great eat-in or takeaway pizza and pasta restaurant about 25 metres away too, if you’re tired after a long day of touring. Book a room here without hesitation

Staff are really helpful and will help with any questions you have or things you may require. Nice location near to all the stuff you would want to visit in the medina

Very friendly and quaint little place tucked away. Can be a little noisy, the public wash Station was directly below us and everything echoed

We were served a beautiful traditional tagine meal on the roof terrace by the staff. They were also helpful with shops directions etc

Cons: the rooftop terrace needs refurbishing, very noisy at night (public water fountain just by the entrance), the breakfast is too late (technically 8:30 but they were running late almost every morning over a week), also with (decent) coffee which tended to be warm rather than hot, too much bread (or variations thereof) and not enough of anything else; no fresh juice

Pros: pretty in a nicely quirky sort of way, excellent location (especially if you're interested in getting to the kite spot at the southern end of the beach, which is a 20 minute walk away), comfortable beds, nice staff

The rooms were damp and perpetually sandy, but that may be the case in all Essaouira riads
