The Riad is located in a small lane walking distance to Kasbah Oudayas, a very convenient location if Rabat Medina is to be accessed. The room we were allotted in the first floor was quite big and the bathroom also had good amenities. One of the issues with Riads we faced in Morocco is that none of them have elevators. Riad L'Alcazar was the only Riad we stayed in during our Moricco trip which has a (small) escalator to help with our luggage. The staff were very hospitable and helpful. Breakfast was decent in spread with crepe, eggs, Moroccan bread, coffee etc. We spent 3 pleasant nights in Riad L'Alazar

We booked a week in this riad as it is in a strategic location for exploring the Kasbah and for pleasant walk by the seaside and the main town attractions.
The location is within the medina and the place is quiet and cosy. The front of house team was helpful and courteous: Moustafa, George, Rashid, Sharon all helped in different ways making us feeling welcomed and arranging private taxi and dinners in flexible way as we asked. They were brilliant!

Great stay at L’alcazar. Good location within walking distance to almost everything you need in Rabat but not in the middle of the most chaotic sections. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and in two floors. But keep in mind the bathroom has no doors, not even the toilet.

L’Alcazar was the perfect place to stay during our first trip to Morocco. Stepping in off the busy street at the edge of the medina you step into a calm and quiet oasis when you enter the road. The courtyard is beautiful, with many places to sit. Our two rooms we’re comfortable and quiet - perhaps best hotel bed ever! The rooftop pool was a lovely place to cool-off in the afternoon. Location is great - easy to grab a taxi and many places within walking distance. Perhaps the best part was the staff. George and Mustafa made us feel welcome and cared for. Five stars aren’t enough!

Staff were lovely. Our Room for 3 was split into 2 rooms connected by a spiral staircase,which was no good if you slept upstairs and neede the bathroom in the night..Decor was very dated and westernised 80's.Bit depressing tbh.Breakfast was very basic.we werent offered eggs.Staff work hard.Wouldnt use again.

This is a beautiful and convenient place to stay in Rabat. The entrance is right by the street so our tour guide dropped us off directly in front of the riad and we didn’t have to walk a long way. Our tour guide preordered beef tajine with prunes for dinner before we arrived, and it was the best tajine we have had so far in Morocco. We also had Moroccan Za'alook Salad which was very flavorful and we scooped it up with the homemade bread. George served us dinner and spoke English well. Our room had a sitting area with a couch and the bathroom on the lower floor. The bed was up a flight of stairs, but there was no railing on the outside, so I was a bit nervous about waking in the middle of the night (thus the reason for the 4 rating). We left the bathroom light on to light our way in case we woke up. The bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was filling - we had omelettes with yogurt and fruit and Moroccan pancakes.

Hotel standard for a 5* hotel, but it is far from this. Welcome and kindness are very good, rooms are nice, very cosy living rooms, but hairdrier was not working and was not changed, minibar is poor, swimming pool was closed as far as terrace was not working. No bar service at all, lunch not in the activities as far as restaurant for dinner. No a la carte menù. Not a 5* without restaurant and bar. I may close an eye on not having a spa or swimmingpool...but at least a bar should always be available. Last but most relevant, hotel declares to be in the mood of nature, so they keep a couple of little parrots in a cage in the livingroom, so tiny they cannot even fly. I asked if parrots may fly free at least once a day and reply was NO: "they poo and wee around...but we love animals! Tourists like them". I strongly doubt turisti select the hotel for parrocchiale and will not have a better esperienze from that during the stay ( a working bar should have a better effect). The ehole world is going in the opposite directory in banning zoos, in letting animals free and living as their nature is. THIS IS SUSTAINABLE, ETHICAL AND COMPLIANT, WHILE HAVING PARROTS DISPLAIED IN PUBLIC IN A CAGE IS ABOMINOUS, OLD FASHIONED AND CRUEL. THEY ARE IN JAIL AND HAVE DONE NORHING BUT BEING THEMSELVES: SINGING. This makes my esperience here quite poor and I hope these 2 parrots to be left free as Soon as possibile. THIS IS NOT NATURAL FRIENDLY, THIS IS FAR FROM MODERN CULTURE AND BY DEFINITION TO BLAME.

Overpriced, underlit, pretentious place. OK food, but the service... No smiles, no excuse after a mistake, hostile looks until the end. And to make things worse, they even charge VAT *after* the meal, on the bill. It's a spectacularly bad experience.
Only thing worth a visit, the Toilets. All red Tadelakt, gorgeous.

Go Go when in Morocco. AMAZING AMBIANCE try the Moroccan Cab ... it's amazing. The Moroccan eggplant is wonderful as is the spicy zucchini...

Great food good ambiance and nice music worth visiting. I agree with earlier comment @mandy it is hard to find there is no street sing on. Easy to miss :) if you find it enjoy the food.
