Hotel Farah Tanger in Tangier

I had a really pleasant stay overall. The hotel itself is nice, and what truly stood out was how incredibly accommodating and friendly the staff were. This actually reflected my wider experience in Tangier, where people in general were warm, welcoming, and always willing to help.

That said, my experience with the management at Hotel Farah was disappointing. I had specifically booked a wheelchair-accessible room, but the ramp was mostly broken and genuinely dangerous to use. To make matters worse, getting from the ramp to the room involved crossing a hilly grass area, which is clearly not wheelchair accessible. When I requested a room change, the manager was quite unhelpful and dismissive, simply saying the booking was already made. The attitude came across as standoffish and lacking basic hospitality.

However, the rest of the staff really made up for this. They were consistently kind and attentive, often helping my mum up and down the ramp without hesitation. One staff member in particular, Najat, was exceptional. Not only did she keep the room spotless, but she went above and beyond, helping us with a charging port when we needed one and even giving us a warm hug when we left. She truly embodied what hospitality should feel like.

Overall, I’d say this is a hotel with potential. It’s not quite there yet, but it’s getting there thanks to its wonderful staff. With stronger management and a better understanding of accessibility, it could easily become a standout.

Staff in the reception friendly and very helpfully.
Breakfast is qualitativ very good
Bungalow are old and must be renewed, not clean ( sofa, bathroom and kitchen) .
And the acoustic isolation is very bad , noisy cars and motorcycles during the night .
