Very friendly reception, breakfast and cleaning staff. The man in front of the hotel was extremely helpful and friendly. Therefore I recommend the hotel, but the hotel needs some investment to be up top date, especially the rooms.

The room was a bit small, and the AC was blasting hot air, so I had to turn it off. Check-in at the front desk took a long time. On the bright side, the breakfast restaurant was huge with extended service hours, offering a typical Southern French/Spanish breakfast.

We were on holiday with friends. We were checked in a little early at no extra charge, but it was low season (the hotel wasn't very busy). The last in the sweep of old style grand hotels lining the harbour before the characterless modern giants take over. Currently nearing the end of a major renovation you can enjoy the spacious corridors and staircases while they are still using the prices of yesteryear. I stayed in this hotel at least 4-5 times already. The location is perfect, the rooms are spotless, everyone at the reception is kind, helpfull.
