European point of view here: I’m a tour operator with two decades of experience in the Himalayas. We come to Lumbini every year, and I know all the accommodation options here very well. As my wife is Buddhist, we prefer to stay near the gate to Maya Devi Temple.
This time we traveled with two kids and stayed in room 309 for a week. Everything was great, and the staff was amazing. It’s been a long time since I experienced such warm and genuine service. The prices are fair, and the restaurant is quite good, with Thai options available.
Because of the service and the location, this is currently our favorite place to stay. I hope they continue investing in the property. They should also promote better the small café with the espresso machine, which is separated from the main restaurant. Thank you and see you next year!

The only thing liked about the hotel is it’s close to the Lumbini Mayadevi Temple. The hotel room was very ordinary. Room & bathroom were not properly cleaned and maintained ..overall just 3 out of 10 !!! Sorry the hotel doesn’t have anything to appeal me to visit next time!!

The hotel is located right in front of the Maya Devi temple main entrance. Rooms were very nice , clean and wide. Staff were very friendly. Thanks

Rooms are spacious,clean, always hot water served in washroom. Dinning area was good, location was appropriate exact opposite gate lumbini birthplace of Buddha.

Hello Everyone,
We had the worst experience in our whole Nepal trip.. I am travelling from India and believe me the worst staff, the quality of food is worst and they over charge you for everything than any other restaurant or hotels , i read the review thought maybe few bad experiences of ppl might be not right after looking at the hotel from outside but when you talk to there staff and service ppl in restaurants I would say do anything but don’t eat here if you enter there kitchen it’s the most unhygienic place than thelaaaa vala ka panii puri….. Undoubtedly it’s closer to temple but there are other options around too. Please explore as well..

We stayed in another hotel inside this street, but I think Little Buddha Hotel is very new & quite a big hotel near main street, more conveniently located.
