Mum's Garden Resort in Pokhara

This hotel is located in a small alley in the Lake Side area of Pokhara, Nepal. The rooms are quite spacious, though the facilities are a bit dated, and the cleanliness is just average. There's a Chinese restaurant not far from the hotel, and it's about a 15-minute walk to the tourist bus station.

My mother's garden is located on a quiet little street. It's a beautiful garden with many birds nesting in the ancient trees; I haven't been awakened by their chirping in a long time. I love sitting in the courtyard waiting for a delicious breakfast: natural yogurt, seasonal fruit, and specialty milk tea. After such a satisfying meal, I don't even need lunch. It's not far from the main street, yet it's isolated from the noise, offering a tranquil retreat. The hotel owners are incredibly reliable. They recommended and booked the best spa for me; otherwise, I probably would have gone to the wrong place. They arranged transportation for sunrise and sunset viewings; basically, if I wanted to do something, I just told them, and they would pick me up on time. Once, we went out to find something to eat and returned very late, only to find the butler waiting for us at the alley entrance. Although we didn't speak fluent English, I knew they were worried about us. Later, I learned that you could order delicious sandwiches at the hotel; just tell the owner, and you can sit back and wait for your late-night snack to be delivered. We stayed here in Pokhara; true to its name, it's a place of comfort and security, like a mother's home.

The rooms were unique, the service was high-quality and attentive; I will definitely choose this place again for my next trip.

To be honest, this place is selective. If you prefer a quiet courtyard, don't want to be too far from Phewa Lake, and have Chinese restaurants nearby, then this place might be perfect. The price is a bit higher than many other places, but it's very refined. You can tell the owner has a story to tell; he has a handsome ten-year-old son who plays very well with him. So, if you like quiet, a small courtyard, and appreciate details, this is definitely the best choice. The bedding could be improved.

This family owned and operated oasis is exactly what I needed. As a first time traveler to Nepal this was exactly what I needed. Our group was picked up at the airport by Deepak and his driver ( Our adventure travel team Breathe in Life knows how to plan the perfect trip) A group of 15 was no challenge for this family. Beautiful rooms with windows, AC, warm water, TP , comfy beds, and birds and blooming trees galore. The meals were fantastic. I highly recommend the crepe breakfast, a squeeze of lime was a new addition for my Canadian palate (yum). Friiendly, safe and helpful. This location is walking distance to Lakeside where you can experience and purchase anything your heart desires.

Staying at Mums is like a home away from home! The service, kindness and delicious breakfasts made our stay enjoyable and easy. Deepak goes out of his way to help you with any desire.

The breakfast was incredibly plentiful; after eating at ABC Guesthouse in the mountains, this breakfast was simply divine!
