Although everything is old and not always perfectly clean, the staff tries hard, responds to requests, and is generally great. It's a very comfortable hotel.

The hotel's location is excellent. The room overall looks very nice and beautiful. However, upon closer inspection, there are many issues.
First, the room is old (I mean old, as cleaning is done daily). The furniture is old and warped. Some of the closets don't open. The bathtub is moldy and leaks (making it impossible to take a bath). The towels have brown stains from previous guests.
Second, the breakfast is disappointing. There are snacks and baked goods. The only decent food is scrambled eggs.
Pros: spacious room, large bed, balcony, and a good view.

Comfortable hotel we chose for the night before our flight to Kathmandu. The rooms was spacious, clean and functional, staff was very helpful. The breakfast was good and fresh. Recommended.

The room was clean. Conveniently located near the lake. The service was courteous. The building was clean, but it felt old. The toilet got wet when I showered, and the bathroom had a slight sewage smell.

Despite the initial check-in issues, during which I was asked to sign a blank guest form, the hotel staff has been excellent. Every time you enter or exit, the staff greets you, which is somewhat surprising. The rooms are functional, clean, and tidy. Although the hotel appears outdated, after staying in trekking tea houses, I would much prefer to be here. Breakfast was delicious. Strangely enough, I had a buffet one day and à la carte the next. The location is fantastic—I was able to do my laundry, get a haircut, and rent a scooter, all on the same street. It is less than a 5 minute walk to Phewa Lake, with an abundance of eateries nearby. I am giving four stars due to the check-in process.
