Pahan Chhen - Boutique Hotel in Patan

I couldn’t have chosen a better hotel. The location is unbeatable — much better than staying in Thamel. It feels far more authentic and peaceful.
The hotel itself is very clean, the food is excellent, and the breakfast is generous and varied. Everything was perfect.
What truly makes this place unique, however, is the staff. They are incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. They genuinely care about their guests and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.
Highly recommended.

It was a very nice place near Patan Durbar square and this hotel was built by the traditional style of Newari Cast. The staff was very helpful and the atmosphere was very nice. I love to visit this place

I stayed in this hotel for two weeks. Everything was close to perfect. Staff were very sweet and helpful. Their food, including the free breakfast, was great and served fast. The rooftop bar has an amazing view of the square.
Some reviews mentioned the dogs in the courtyard and called them aggressive. That’s untrue! The dogs, who don’t belong to the hotel, were in fact very polite and well behaved. Just please do not approach them. Only the black and white one is pettable.

Tucked away in the heart of Patan Durbar Square - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Pahan Chhen Hotel, a boutique gem that whispers tales of tradition and charm. As I stepped into my spacious sanctuary, I was enveloped in comfort - the plush bed, a haven for weary souls.

While the hotel's rustic elegance and warm hospitality stole my heart, I did find myself yearning for a stronger wifi connection.

However, the restaurant's delectable offerings and the bar's cozy ambiance more than made up for it. The staff, with their genuine smiles and welcoming nature, made me feel right at home.

Pahan Chhen Hotel, you have won me over. I shall return, eager to once again bask in your warm hospitality and charm.

Me and my gf had a great stay at Pahan Chhen. It cannot be located more central. The newari rooms are kinda small but is still OK for me at 183cm. The rooftop view is amazing and restaurant serves great food.

Gorgeous hotel with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Amazing roof terrace where you can have amazing local food. They serve wine and beer and a variety of cocktails. The view of the Himalayas from the roof is spectacular. Hotel does a decent breakfast too which is included with great coffee. Amazing neighbourhood too. You can get to most of the main sights for 700 rupees in a 15-30 minute taxi ride. Highly recommended!

The most hospitable staff. Delicious food. Beautifully renovated house. Perfect location if you prefer to be in the middle of an ancient history book . We are loving it!

I absolutely love this place! Patan is quieter and more laid back than central KTM, but the place has character and plenty of restaurants and coffee shops. The bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept in on a long time, the AC was welcome as were the bathroom amenities. My favorite part was the rooftop bar/resto. Sunsets were divine , as was the Monmouth platter and chili potatoes. Excellent staff!

Stayed here and the hotel was very nice. The terrace is the best part of the hotel, the view is fantastic and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant up on the terrace is very delicious, especially the noddles and the vegetable biriyani. The location is on Patan Durbar which makes it easy to find restaurants, cafes, and transport to other parts of the city. I think that this area is perfect for someone visiting for the first time instead of Kathmandu Durbar. The taxis are about 20 minutes to Kathmandu from here and cost around 700 rupees (around 5$). The staff even had a birthday party for me up on the terrace, ordered 2 customized birthday cakes and decorated with balloons.
