The environment is excellent and the location is good, but the service is very average. No one came to clean the room on the second day of our three-night stay. We had to urge the front desk to come. In the middle of the night, they delivered something to the wrong room and kept knocking on our door, which seriously affected our sleep.

Super place....while one expects Marriott experience at its properties, this one stood out. Great welcome by Prabin, warm greetings always by door woman which is genuine and heartfelt. Everything was wonderful 👍 The location is convenient, right on the riverbank, allowing you to watch wildlife from the balcony. The staff was very friendly. A big thank you to the receptionist. The hotel is good: the highlight is definitely a swimming pool with the jungle view. From there we saw elefants! Another highlight is our guide Samjana: she spent with us 2 days in the jungle and shared her passion regarding animals. She is very well informed about local surroundings and told us a lot stories about Chitwan. She is very kind, smart and funny. I felt very safe being with her together

Had a great stay, the staff were super friendly and our guide Samjhana Tiwari was exceptional really helpful friendly and full of knowledge about the rainforest and looked after us and our 2 boys aged 11 and 13 really well. The hotel staff were lovely, the pool was good and warm. The hotel was a little tatty around the edges but having been to a lot of different rainforests this was good!!

A wonderful place for family, groups or couples. Ambience is very nice, warming environment and the tharu dance is to look out for. I highly suggest people to visit this place if you’re going sauraha or places near to visit.

We had a two night stay here as part of our northern India and taste of Nepal trip. From the moment we arrived and were greeted we knew this stay would be special. The manager greeted us and we had a welcome photo (provided) and an explanation of the programme for the rest of the day and the following day which was all included in the price of the stay as was breakfast lunch and dinner on a package...

Not particularly close to Monkey Mountain, you'll still need a taxi. It's a new hotel, but more of a business type. I had to call for slippers and then waited about an hour for them when checking in late at night.

The front desk staff also provided minimal information, not explaining how to get to the room or the breakfast system, so they weren't particularly friendly. Best place to unwind from the exhausted trekking. At the gate, we were greeted with “tika” and “khatta”. Front office staff, Sanju, took great care of our room need. Great rooms,Greater food. Only negative point is as the dining hall is very big, the service we get is average ,as at a given time large numbers are dining and the cutlery and water replenishing at the tables are not done efficiently.

The hotel is an older five-star property with dated bathrooms that need updated showerheads. Breakfast was good, and overall it was just okay. However, I didn’t like their “visiting hours” policy they required guests to inform the front desk if friends wanted to drop by and stay for a short while, which I found unnecessary.

I really love this hotel ! What sets this hotel apart from other 5-star establishments is the sense that it is not primarily run as a commercial enterprise, but that the focus is on providing excellent service. My every need was anticipated and met before I even had to ask. In this world so focused on profit, it feels like a real gem to me. And yes, I would love to come back.

Nice hotel, clean and good location

I had a great stay at hotel himalaya.

There were 4 huge cockroaches in my room. I killed 2, the other 2 were running around. I did not know how many more cockroaches were hiding in the room. I called reception to request for a change of room. Staff came quite promptly and assisted with change of room, which thankfully was much cleaner and without cockroaches. Definitely not a good first impression for a first-timer staying in the hotel...

It can't be compared with the same level of four-star hotels in China, and the price is also expensive. Nepal is short of supplies and has a high cost of living. The facilities of this hotel are complete. Except that the rooms are relatively small, everything is acceptable. It is suitable for short-term business trips.

The "Do Not Disturb" sign was lit on my door, but at 11 AM, I still received a call asking if I needed housekeeping and that they could arrange it immediately. That was quite odd. The paid buffet breakfast was very mediocre. It was supposed to end at 10:30 AM, but when I arrived at 10 AM, many items were already gone, and there was no one to cook more right away. Every Sunday and Tuesday morning from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM, they offer a tour to the Pashupatinath Temple, and the manager's commentary is really engaging! It's definitely worth getting up early...

I stayed for two days and was a little reluctant to leave. I felt like I hadn't taken enough photos. Coming to this historic city, I felt that experiencing the culture and local customs was very important. I changed rooms midway through my stay. We had a fabulous time at the Rainbow safari resort. The guides and staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort its self was excellent the rooms , the food and the grounds were spot on. We would thoroughly recommend this resort as a base for your time in Chitwan National Park.

The resort was a lovely place to stay in Chitwan. The rooms and facilities were nice, and the food was great. The staff were warm and personally involved. Unfortunately, we had non-stop rain during our stay, so not all activities could take place or were as enjoyable, though of course that’s just bad luck. In terms of value for money, we’d definitely recommend it.

I arrived at the resort via a package deal that I purchased through get your guide. I think it would have been cheaper to book the package through an agency in Pokhara or Kathmandu rather than online like I did, but that is the only real downside I have to report! Stayed at Rainbow Safari Resort for 3 days to explore Chitwan- the place is clean, the staff are lovely and the food is excellent. The manager goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy - and even arranged an additional safari for us on our last day! Highly recommended! Be prepared for the standard power cuts

They made me feel very welcome. There was a problem at first with my A/C and the fan and they fixed it straight away.
