The ancient defensive wall surrounding the city and one of my favorite places in Maastricht. Atleast a quarter is still open to the public and it is definetly worth a visit. Beautiful vistas over the city

Elise is genuinely one of the most amazing people ever and will do anything to make you feel at home, even though it is just for a short while. Her heartfelt kindness in combination to her "humour" ( :) ) will make your stay a memorable experience. The rooms are awesome ( goes without saying really ) and so are her breakfasts. I would recommend you to order her omelette with bacon. There is a delightful garden at the back of the b & b which during summer is simply splendid. She will most certainly help you find your way around Maastricht and is always available when you need her. The hospitality is prime and so is the location of the b & b, situated in the very centre of the city. This place is wonderful. Merci Elise !!

A very pleasant apartment with a friendly host. The location is great, just a minute from the lovely center. The windows are well insulated to keep out the street noise.

Another visit to De Stadswal and absolutley love it, Anneke was the perfect host made us so welcome and relaxed cant thank her and Enrico enough we will return again and look forward to another stay would most definitely recommend A stay here hope you read this review you deserve all the praise and more. I came to Britannique with some friends and colleagues, and it was a wonderful experience! Our waitress, Bo, made the evening even better — she was incredibly open, kind, and welcoming from the start. She even noticed my excitement about being there and said she was happy because we brought such nice energy, which really made us feel appreciated.
The food was also great — especially the calamari, which was absolutely delicious.

Food was okay, fries weren't even baked at all, other food was good. Service was bad, as we had to wait for over 15 minutes sometimes to order something or to get attention of the waiting staff.
