Hotel Amsterdam De Roode Leeuw in Amsterdam

I rented a large room with two children for $2000 per night, excluding breakfast. I tried to book a room for one adult and two children on the platform, but couldn't find any. So I booked a room for two adults, since my two children are only a few years old and about 1.2 meters tall. The total cost was $8000. Upon arrival, the receptionist said I paid for two adults, not two children as one adult. I explained that I couldn't choose that option on the platform, and that my two children couldn't stay alone. I requested a double room, as I always do, but they replied that it wouldn't work and the children would cost an extra $500. I had no choice but to pay the extra $2000, even though that amount could have rented a much better room. When I got to the room, there were traces of feces in the toilet. The mattress was extremely soft, like it had no spring, and sank in. The air conditioning was very loud, and there was an unpleasant odor. There was nothing worth taking pictures of!
