Reviews
The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed linens and towels looked clean. I stayed for two nights, and during that time, only the trash bin was emptied — the sheets and towels were not changed. The room was a bit cold; there was an extra fan available, but it was quite large, and I didn’t feel like taking it out of the closet.
There were only two power outlets in the room, both in inconvenient spots. It’s not possible to use your phone in bed while it’s charging. The bathroom had a slight odor, but it looked clean. Shampoo and shower gel were available at the reception, and there was also a hair dryer and a kettle in the room.
If you return to the hotel late at night, you might sometimes see drunk people lying near the entrance. Of course, this is not directly the hotel’s fault, but it was a bit concerning for me.
Breakfast was simple but reasonable. The staff were generally polite and helpful. Thank you for their service.
When we came back, the room was ready, even though we were still half an hour before check-in time. The front desk clerk helped carry my wife’s bag up the narrow stairs to our room on the third floor. Very helpful. He even produced a tea kettle for us to use during our stay. Other staff at the hotel proved to be very friendly and helpful as well, giving suggestions on what to see and where to go.
The room was clean, spacious (my wife and I shared a room with three single beds (we only used two) so it was quite open and not at all cramped. While the room has been well used, the beds were comfortable and clean. What more could you ask for.
The toilet and shower were next door (we were in Room 5) and shared with four other rooms but was kept clean.
The provided breakfast was very good with cereal, juices, hard boiled eggs, bread, cheese and deli meats as well as coffee or tea.
The hotel is centrally located close to Vondelpark, the largest public park in Amsterdam, and the Leidseplein, one of the busiest centres for nightlife in the city.
A special shoutout to the manager, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. He made sure we had everything we needed and generously provided as many amenities as possible to make us feel at home.
The breakfast was a real highlight — fresh, tasty, and a great way to start the day. Lots of variety and definitely one of the better hotel breakfasts we’ve had on our trip.
All in all, great value for money, lovely service, and a fantastic location. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam!
Good location and very friendly and helpful staff. Room was outdated but clean. Bed was bad. No AC and if the window was open the traffic noises were loud. Breakfast was very simple: only eggs, bread and cereals. Overall, not worth the price.
