An perfect location for the airport and good value but basic

Best thing was the airport shuttle. The beds were clean and comfortable but no mattress protector.
Only 1 knife. No face cloths and the hot tap in the bathroom went across the back of the basin instead of into it.
There was only one bolt holding the toilet seat on.
Overall, it really just needs a good clean some pride to be taken both inside and the grounds.

Looked a bit rough from the outside with the room doors opening onto the road / parking area. Difficult to get a pick up from the airport as they work on the assumption you've got a phone that works in New Zealand and can call yourself. Took effort to find information at the airport and call from there - then the pickup took about 30 minutes to arrive. Only got to see the inside of reception - whatever the problem was the receptionist, who was also the airport pickup driver, transferred me to another motel a mile away as the Gold Star room wasn't available. No issues with the other location other than it's receptionist was also it's driver and I had to wait for him to arrive to check-in.

The noise from the cars coming and going outside was quite loud, the room facilities were rather basic, and the bedding wasn't very clean.

Standard motel facilities, clean and tidy. Highly recommended for a low-cost self-drive trip. We arrived at the motel first to drop off our luggage, then went to the airport to return the car; the motel also arranged a free airport shuttle. There was also a free airport drop-off the next day. If you have a limited budget but want a clean and tidy motel with free Auckland airport shuttle, I would highly recommend it.

I guess the hotel staff upgraded my room. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a separate kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and stove, although the non-stick pans were old and I didn't dare use them. There's a Pak'nsave supermarket 1.3 km away. The room had a great location, with a small balcony facing a small patch of green grass in the yard. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, making it very convenient to go to the airport or the center. We used the airport shuttle service; they only called when we arrived at the designated point, and they picked us up in about 10 minutes. A wonderful night! The next day, we easily took the bus to the Newmarket Center. Thank you!

The room was relatively new, clean, and tidy. The parking space was a bit narrow, and the room was near the street, so there was some noise, but luckily we're not sensitive to noise. The hotel offers a free airport shuttle service, but we didn't end up using our rented car. It's very close to the Apex car rental return point at the airport, only a 10-minute drive.
