The room was clean, bed comfortable and linen
and towels changed regularly. Property Manager was pleasant and helpful. The room and facilities are run down and shabby and in need of a complete upgrade. Parking is down a steep driveway, and it is extremely difficult to navigate even with a medium size vehicle particularly is there are other large vehicles already there. There is a down-market bar in the front of the building which appears to be totally out of character with the Parnell area.

Very cool spot for dining out with loads of choice nearby, there's food in the bar at the front as well! Room was well equipped and comfy, we got lucky with room in the car park at the back but there is plenty of on-street as well

Good location, but thats the only positive. Hotel is very very old, dated and pics do not accurately reflect actusl acvomidation. Parking available but difficult to access

While the Parnell area is lovely with plenty of shopping, restaurants, and close to central city, this is basically a one star property. However the staff were very good!

We arrived to find reception unmanned and had to ring a cell phone - problem 1 - I didn't have a phone! We were asked to pay upfront by card - problem 2 - I was overcharged by $103 and didn't notice until I got to our room. Problem 3 - the owner resides (?) overseas and receptionist did not have authority to make a refund - it took contact with ******* to sort out and I got refunded the day before we checked out.

The photos on ******* are clearly old - there is a noisy bar attached to the front of the property - not a Gelato shop, not Lala Coffee Shop. The bar sells a smoking product via a hookah and has direct access to the toilets which are in the reception area - this is a security risk and it is not the only one - the lower floor side door is never closed - even when it is raining! The stairwell has direct access to the hallways on which the rooms are based. I recommend anyone staying here uses the room door security chain.

The wifi is poor and the TV services stutter as the TV only runs on wifi streaming - no aerial.

The condition of the room is "run down" with marked paint work on the walls.The bathroom is also run down - the lino had not been laid properly and looked to have been done by an amateur. The sink was cracked and the large mirror was badly marked with water damage (to the rear).

Staff assistance was excellent. Tiny window No AC though there was a fan. Couldnt get tv chanels. One pillow was old and extremely discoloured. Walls and decor were tired, marked and overall in need of refurbishment. Shower was cleanish although wall shelf was broken and cracked and the pressure non existant. If you needed a place to crash and didnt mind the hostel/student accomodation like environment then it would be sufficient.

No reception to check in. No tv channels, only YouTube or Netflix (if you logged in yourself). Dirty room and bathroom. No air con.

The room was clean and tidy , very did ious snd well presented but the surrounding occupants on the lower floors were very loud and partied through the night on a Thursday keeping everyone up , close to town and easy to get to shops and events

Spotlessly clean, but quite noisey most of the night. Lovely area, restaurants and bars opposite the hotel.

Really friendly staff. Regularly get the $10 Chicken Fried Rice as a takeaway lunch, always hot and tasty and satisfying

Such a gem! The food was fantastic, the green curry was light and fresh, and all of the vegetables used were fresh and crisp. Reasonable prices and really friendly staff. We came in 15 minutes before close and they never once made us feel rushed. The location in Parnell village was just perfect.

Last time I have been to Antoines on my Nana's birthday like almost three years ago. I had the worst service ever because the waiters were taking for ever to serve our food that we have just ordered, I mean I did not mind the food it is just the waiters were neglecting us, especially on Nana's birthday. I had to leave earlier because I was sitting there bored to death. I recommend you do not go there.

Amazing service, so polite and friendly! The food was incredible - we had the blue cheese souffle and a beautiful burst of steam came out as we cut into it. Highly rec commend to anyone that understand good food. The wine pairings were also exactly on point.

After some 3 years went for a dinner - now remember why did not go for 3 years. Pretentious and as Italian as PIzza Hut...

Pasta was smothered in thick yet flavourless sauce (thanks god there was pepper and salt mill...) and stuck together into a big lump.
The waiter advised us on their 'UNESCO celebratory' Margarita - made with real buffalo and Italian tomatoes: all good just makes you wonder what their non-celebratory pizza is made with...
