Good location. Funky smell outside - not the hotels fault.

Very friendly and helpful hosts. Room is comfortable with enough linen and towels. Rooms can be a little noisy if other guests are around as the walls are thin and the floors are wooden.

Very welcoming and great location. Room had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Parking outside the room was very tight. I would stay here again.

Lovely apartment with even lovelier view
A friendly welcome from the reception team. Apartment was a studio with kitchenette on the top floor. It was clean, spacious, had good amenities and was close to shops and restaurants. The view of Picton harbour from our balcony was absolutely amazing, we could’ve stayed there all day watching the works go by. One night was not long enough!

We phoned for booking for 6pm. It was quite busy but we were shown to our table straight away. My husband did have to go up and get our drinks and we were not asked again if we wanted another. But the meal was superb the service very good. They do sell themselves short by not up selling. No one came near other than to ask if everything was ok.

Had a nice steak meal well cooked with generous sides. The staff were frendly and attentive. The meals did take awhile to come out but it was busy when we visited. The atmosphere was a little dark but it made it more intimate however it was nosey due to it being packed.

Delicious! One of the best restaurants in Rotorua. The Children had Barney ribs, which they enjoyed a lot. My friend got the chicken-which I tried. The meat wasn’t dry, and tasted amazing. I got the lamb, which wasn’t over cooked, a medium rare as I ordered. Mashed potatoes were very good. The only problem I had was, the wait for the food took a long time, which bored out the children after they finished colouring in. The creme brûlée I had for dessert was decent.

Lone Star Steakhouse since 1988 with many branches throughout NZ. All meats are premium-aged NZ beef.... butttt.... surprisingly the meat is not as tender as I think it could be.
Disappointed with NZ beef. Just the same NZ beef I got from Indonesia. US beef is still the best.

Quite enjoyed our early dinner here. Super friendly staff. Had a starter platter to share and the portion was generous and well prepared.

Best lamb shanks with mash and veggies I have ever eaten. Super friendly staff. Wife ate lamb rump with veggies and it was superb.

OVER PRICED food
one star for service and that was all. We ordered 2 of the specials, one lamb shank and other one was the fish snapper. lamb shank was cold and snapper wasn't grilled as it was written on the menu board.
And worst of all the money we paid for that food.

Extremely slow service. We had to constantly ask staff (none of which were designated servers or hostesses) for menus, drinks...etc. They warn everyone that the food will take forever and that they were honest about Hahah. Bread appetizer isn't free and be prepared to pay a lot for "gourmet" portions. Only good thing is I didn't get sick and the food was in fact delicious. Seemed like the staff didn't know what the heck they were doing haha. Very unorganized

Terrible service. Management assumes you know your meal will arrive an hour late if they're 'busy'. Management is so disorganized they can't keep track who has already paid. Manager will assume if he didn't handle your bill you are sneaking off without paying and accost you from across the room. That's the manager's idea of customer service. Food tasted adequate. Customer service is a fail. Our experience with this restaurant left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Would have left without saying anything but manager's customer service and interpersonal skills made that impossible.
