We had a great time, with good food and drinks, a beautiful room with a terrace. The personal was all smiles and very friendly and profesional. You simply have to try the Sauna rituals! Elegant and great fun at the same time. The hotel has a fantastic location by the fjord, and the interior is beautiful and elegant too. Great Norwegian breakfast gives a good start of the day. Highly recomended!

Overall, an average stay. The spa was great, but the room had several issues — the showerhead was broken and caused water to spill everywhere, one of the bedside outlets didn’t work, and the snacks in the hotel bar had already been opened.

We lived for more than one day. We wanted to relax. It looks beautiful. They're watching it. Rooms clean well. And that's why you expect the spa to be in the right state. But when we returned home after a few days in this hotel, and naturally visiting the spa, we found something itchy on the skin. No blemishes remain, only itches from the bites of some very small, almost invisible creatures. There's no redness or traces, but over time, as they multiplied, you could see it even jumping over your leg! With what horror we remembered the holiday in the paid spa on the second floor with the service of the "mistress" separate from everyone else on the first floor of the spa. The second floor is not included, and you pay 160 euros for two for just 90 minutes. There is little there, and the "hostess" is of little use. We asked how often slightly warm ceramic chairs are disinfected with their feet in the water, to which the "mistress" said she never disinfects anything "because it's hot in the sauna already", although the question was not about the sauna. You can sit on warm ceramics without towels, which is what everyone does. Can you imagine how many sweaty bodies there are sitting there a week, and at the temperature, how their bacteria reproduce? Well, someone brought what was brought in on the body. And wash with a cleaning agent or disinfect at least with alcohol “no need, t k in the sauna is warm”?! Three weeks of running through doctors, pharmacies, rubbing poison into the skin, boiling laundry and clothes, and as a consequence of the onset of allergies , lasted up to 1.5 months! And the allergies aren't over yet! Be careful, and don't buy a spa on the second floor, at least. It's unsanitary, not luxurious! And hotel management please monitor the "owners" in the paid spa, and require them to disinfect all chairs and surfaces to avoid infecting guests!

Travelled alone, for the first time, on a mini spa vacation. Had a lovely time. The Aufguss was really worth experiencing, so make sure to check the times not to miss it!

Amazing experience
Amazing experience. Fabulous setting and just a 10 minute walk into Son village. Spa has everything you need. Suggest booking a suite with balcony. Outdoor Sauna by the Fjord is terrific for the daily Sauna ritual which lasts about 45 mins. Son village is also not to be missed.

Son Spa is a nice hotel, beautifully situated right down by the fjord in a quiet area. The rooms and the hotel feel new and are in good condition, but you can especially tell in the spa area that it’s starting to show wear. A major drawback in summer is that there’s no air conditioning in the rooms, so it can get very hot. The big challenge with Son Spa is the price level; the rooms are expensive, and the food is expensive, and at the prices they charge (over 500 NOK for a main course), it’s simply not worth it. Service in the restaurant was so-so; the waters were busy with several large parties. Breakfast was disappointing for this price point. The parking prices are also outrageous. Son Spa is a place where you need a car, and for a weekend, it costs over 600 NOK for parking, including a 50 NOK EasyPark fee. In short: a nice hotel, but not worth the prices they charge for rooms, food, and parking.

We went to Son because we were on a concert with Asle Beck. And then we visit Son Spa because some of our friends recommends it too us. We did not have time to visit the Spa this time. But we will soon return to Son Spa, for try the Spa.
