Had a very nice pizza in the restaurant. Buffet breakfast was great. Proximity to the Christmas Market was excellent. Staff were awesome. Our initial room was too light and noisy for us but the receptionist couldn’t have been more accommodating about moving us to a quieter room at the back of the hotel.

Not used to European Hotels but there were no tissues or a garbage can capable of holding anything above a few tissues. We did not want cleaning service so it was a bit of an issue for me. Bed was more comfortable than expected and the room was nice. Necessities only which was fine. Breakfast was outstanding at the restaurant.

A lovely stop over Room was simple but what we needed for a night's stop over. The breakfast was amazing so much choice and really sets you up for a day.

The service was excellent, from the check-in to the breakfast to the check-out, everything was settled swiftly. The room was amazing and the location is extremely convenient. The only downside might be the lack of amenities but that should not be a problem if your aim is to tour the city.

We had a lovely stay at Scandic Torget! The location is so convenient as you are within walking distance for many tourist/sightseeing spots. Tour busses usually do pick up on the same street as Scandic Torget so that is super convenient too! Only thing is that on the weekends it can get a little bit noisy from midnight to 4AM. The rooms were warm and everything was working perfectly. The breakfast offered a generous buffet selection, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The only potential downside is that soundproofing could be better—you can hear noise from the corridor and neighboring rooms. If you’re sensitive to noise or prefer complete silence, this is something to keep in mind.

The roomt assigned was on the first floor facing the street, which made it somewhat noisy. Trams pass by at regular intervals, and the sound is quite noticeable. There were even trams running after 2 a.m., which might not be ideal for light sleepers. Apart from that everything was great.

If it’s your first time traveling to Tromso and you wouldn’t know if you’d get another chance coming back, then I’d definitely recommend you to stay here. A must. The hotel is nice and the breakfast is good. But the windows in our room were pretty bad. Instead of seeing outdoor, like the pictures shown here, it opens in an interior area that includes the breakfast area. Not only it means it wasn't fully dark during the night, but also if we opened the window, we had no fresh air coming in. Not all rooms have that kind of windows, but a lot do.

Hot room The room was rather small but clean and nice, BUT very very hot! I have now stayed at two Scandic hotels this summer and both have been sooo hot. Only help is a small fan at both hotels. The hotel is in a good location, but the attitude of the hotel staff is rather bad. They are not friendly and do not help. Most of the guests in the hotel are on business trips, and the breakfast is very crowded. The Scandic series of hotels have small rooms and outdated facilities. They are not recommended for family travelers.

We have a lake facing room. Size is adequate for 1 night stay. Gym with threadmill with free weights. Staff are friendly. No free car parking near the hotel.

Its proximity to both the lake and the harbor made it ideal for sightseeing. My positive impression of Stavanger is largely thanks to this hotel. I was very pleased that this was my first hotel stay upon arriving in Norway. The only minor issue was that the door seemed faulty, making it difficult to lock it with the key card.

We are so glad we stayed here before continuing our journey to Lofoten. The stay was awesome and it is in the middle of a fishermen’s village. We saw the aurora just in front of the house. It was so beautiful. The house was very clean and well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay and slept very well. We also loved the small details in the house.

The staff was nice, always there if we needed! The room was small (a room with a bunk beds), but it works well! The kitchen is veryyy small with few ustensiles, lots of plates. I had great experience spending few nights here. The rooms were so clean and comfortable and quiet. The shower and other facilities were clean as well. The staffs were so friendly. The room types are quite confusing. The one we booked only had two options: newly renovated, with a strong smell but no windows that opened, or no smell but only a bathtub and no shower. Just near by the Bergen station is so convenient to us to catch the light train. And the room is so big and comfortable that can open two big size suitcases and still have enough room for walking. There are free coffee and tea in the first floor and that help to fill up hot water. The reception are all friendly.
