Thon Hotel Victoria Hamar in Hamar

The hotel is excellently located, less than a five-minute walk from the train station, which made my arrival very easy. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the conference rooms provided a good environment for our meetings.

My room was large and offered plenty of space, featuring a bed that was both good and comfortable. However, there were some drawbacks during my stay. When I first entered the room, the bathroom had a bad, stale smell, the kind that occurs when a room hasn't been used for a while. I let the water run in the shower for a bit and the smell eventually disappeared, but it still created a poor first impression.

The biggest disappointment was the food, which was well under par. At breakfast, the fried eggs were like chewing rubber and the scrambled eggs were completely tasteless. For lunch, I was served a chicken pasta that was so bland I simply couldn't finish it.

While it is a convenient and comfortable place to stay, the catering definitely needs to be improved.

Central location. Nice pub Located at ground floor. Terrible noise due to near location of rail way. Trains passing all night long....
Elevators didn't work when we needed it. Had to carry lugage using stairs all the way to 5th floor. Breakfast is ok.

You could spend one night here but not longer. The hotel is clean but lacks any personality whatsoever. The rooms are very basic, with no amenities. The staff were friendly, breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable.
