Is this a fully 4 star hotel as advertised? Yes indeed! Is it worth a visit? Absolutely. So why not 5 stars on Google? Well, that depends on what you expect. The hotel is quite clean, the staff is very friendly and the food in the restaurant is way above anything to expect. In fact, the restaurant is worth a visit alone. It's the small things that just doesn't make it to the top. Like the sewage ventilation right next to the entrance, flat pillows on the bed and non working minibar. But all in all, it's a great hotel and it's definitely not my last visit here.

It was extremely hot in the room and there was no air conditioning. The bathroom was extremely dated and could use an upgrade.

It’s a nice hotel in Stavern. They also offer a fantastic buffet every Sunday, except on some special holidays. It costs kr.395 per person with one drink of your choice. It’s worth it. Some seafood, fish, meat, salads, desserts and coffee or tea. Delicious food and nice service.

The hotel is nice and charming. Clean and perfectly located in the centre of this small town. The best part was the suuuper comfy bed! Nice and helpful staff allowed us to check in 3 hours earlier which was a great help and I give them cudos for that service. Especially in a town this small it was super helpful as our plane arrived early in the morning.
The total experience was lovely, but I am surprised that this is a hotel with 4 stars, I would expect a bit more premium look and feel. Clogged toilets in the hotel lobby and tacky historic style looked a bit outdated so all the stars mostly go for the staff, cleanliness and location.
