Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara in Salalah

The stylish and beautiful Anantara Hotel is located right by the sea. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful; you feel so pampered. The food is varied and delicious. We would love to come back.

The view and the service was so satisfying, I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot and I’m going to recommend this place to my friends because of how beautiful the place and the architecture, and food is.

A good hotel, not crowded due to the high prices. Rooms with balconies are large. A very good bed with mattress, excellent pillows, and linens. The general manager's greeting on the TV was a nice touch. There are many pleasant touches: cold, damp towels are handed out to guests on the beach loungers, fruit is on the shelf, and glasses are cleaned.
Both breakfast and dinner are excellent. Unlike other 5-star hotels, here, in addition to watermelon, melon, and pineapple, there are also rumbutans and mangoes. However, at dinner, they don't serve anything but water as a drink.
There's a free spa, but you need to book a time in advance.
Swimming in the sea is impossible due to the constant waves and strong currents, leaving only one shallow 1.2-meter pool.
In the evening, there's live music at the Al Mina restaurant (à la carte).
The staff is always friendly.

Dislikes:
They smoke everywhere, on the sun loungers by the pool and on the beach all day long, while we're actually going on vacation for fresh air.
I also didn't like that in the restaurant, they bring large plates of mangosteen fruit to VIPs and help them put them in their bags, while other guests can't even try them; they're not publicly available.
All hotel guests should be treated well!

We stayed at this resort more than six years ago and we wanted to experience staying here again in the Khareef Season. Some things did change, but this hotel still was a great choice. Check-in was simple and easy and all staff members were polite, Helpful , nice and friendly. Our one bedroom garden view Villa was very clean. The gardens and the hotel are very well maintained and taken good care of. They have a small farm where they grow some of their food that they use to serve in their restaurants. I have to say that the food in the hotel is very expensive so keep a budget for that. The food is very good, but not the greatest. Like I said, the staff were very friendly but sometimes I felt like it was over exaggerated I am not sure if they were trained that way, but I wish if they could tame it down just a little bit we are friendly people, but sometimes it could get annoying this is not a complaint just a piece of advice for the hotel. Again, this is our second time staying here and I do not regret it. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. I would definitely return here again.

The hotel is  Amazing . I will come back there for sure.  Everything was perfect and more. One of my the best holidays.

The main restaurant in the hotel works very well,
All staff from waiters to cooks. The Russian-speaking girl at the reception, Anna, is trying very hard. All other services are not trained to work in a 5 star hotel. They are confused about where to bring what, in which room the cake should be. The hotel is half empty, and the reception staff are asking for money for late check-out.

Al Baleed Resort has great location with miles of unspoilt white sand beach. Eating options are limited to only 3 restaurants.

The breakfast at the Salkana restaurant is extremely good with great service from all the staff. However, the dinner buffet for the Indian night was below average with some dishes that did NOT do justice to the Indian Cuisine. There is much room for improvement on food quality and taste.

The Al Mina restaurant (Mediterranean Cuisine) was very disappointing in terms of vegetarian options and general service. On one occasion we had to wait 40 minutes before even the bread & olive oil were brought to the table!

The resort wes amazing and staff were very friendly. Everything in the hotel were above standard including the breakfast however the price was high

We didn't stay here but we came for evening coffee. The atmosphere was super relaxed. They have amazing red velvet cake. The cheesecake was also amazing. We also enjoyed shisha with a calm sea view. Great place to stay I'm sure
