Reviews
Rooms, breakfast and location were good. Rooms were clean, breakfast was tasty, and it is in walkable (kind of) distance to center. One small detail related to the room is that we could hear music playing from the restaurant below us during breakfast. It wasn't a big deal since we are early risers, but to someone it might be a bigger concern. Our room was 114.
We went with this option because of supposed mountain view room, spa zone and breakfast service. We got a room opposite side of mountain with no view. Spa zone was very dirty, saunas barely working, lights inside saunas were broken we had to sit in the dark and dry sauna just stopped working on the last day of our stay there. Staff was decent, but it felt like we were a burden to them, not super inviting, but overall fine.
Food wasn’t that good. Neither restaurant nor SPA is recommended.
Downside approximately 40 mins walk to Krupowki, and no tea, coffee or fruit juice on breakfast, unless you pay extra.
First inconvenience was having to share a balcony with the people in the room next to ours. The balcony was separated in half by plants. This would have been fine, except our neighbors were on the balcony constantly. I get that our neighbors being on the balcony is not the hotel's fault, but it would have been nice to have our own space. I want to mention, though, that not all rooms are like this. Some have their own balcony. Ours happened to be shared.
The second issue we came across was the hotel being relatively far from everything. We had to drive 20km to get to the parking for the entrance to the Morskie Oko path (busses are an option, however) and walk 5 or so kilometres to the store, aswell as walk 3km to get to the street with shops/markets. This is not the hotel to stay in if you're expecting to walk everywhere you go.
Then there's the breakfast. This may be the worst hotel breakfast I've seen. Your main options are omelette, meat, cheese, pancakes and packaged yogurt. In terms of breakfast, this hotel does not have much to offer in comparison to other hotels for the same price. I stayed in a cheaper hotel in Warsaw the day before and there was bacon, all sorts of breads and vegetables, strawberry and regular yogurt dispensers, pancakes, a waffle pan, more options for tea etc. I think this hotel could do better in terms of breakfast
Lastly, the spa. The spa itself was fine. We knew it was 3 saunas and a jacuzzi and were fine with that. The lockers in the spa didn't lock so we had to leave our phones and our room card in an unlocked locker. One of the worst parts was the spa towels. You have to pay (i think) 20 zloty for a robe here, but we were told we could instead go to reception and ask for spa towels and we would be given large towels for the spa. When we got out of the jacuzzi, we unfolded these towels and discovered they were horrible. One towel was extremely dirty and covered in light spots all over. The other towel had some spots aswell, but ot was torn up and looked like it had been used extremely roughly. We ended up having to wrap ourselves in these towels and walk back to the room, but we showered immediately after.
In conclusion, I would not stay here again. My advice to you would be: If you can afford it, please get a better hotel and read as many reviews as you can.
