A wonderful historic hotel in the center of Sintra. The interiors are stunning, especially the private tea rooms. It's like stepping back in time. Comfortable bed, good Wi-Fi, and a coffee machine in the room. Clean. Large bathroom with a window.
Breakfast is full of delicacies – exquisite cheeses, meats, and fruits.
On the downside, the toilet flush valve jammed and had to be repaired. The light in the hallway didn't work.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lawrence. The bed was the most comfortable out of all our stays so far in Portugal. From our check in to breakfast it was perfect. The young lady at breakfast was a delight and had many great suggestions.

Everything was absolutely wonderful. Such a charming place. Location is very convenient and quiet. Would love to stay there again one day. I was in the tea room which is a ice the main desk. It was lovely but there is a bit of noise early from the desk if someone is looking to sleep in. I had an early start so it was fine for me.

The hotel is poorly maintained in some areas and in need of restoration. The staff is friendly and attentive, the breakfast is nothing extraordinary, and there is very little information about what the hotel has to offer.
Parking was very difficult to find.
In short, it is not worth the price charged, but the stay was pleasant.

The hotel is located in the heart of Sintra, within walking distance of four main attractions, making it very convenient. As one of the oldest hotels in Europe, it boasts a rich cultural heritage and offers exceptional comfort. The breakfast is particularly outstanding and plentiful. The hotel service is excellent. Highly recommended.

Older hotel with character. Away from the chaos and bustle of the tourist square but just a three minute walk into the heart of town. Nice breakfast included with the room. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy walking access to Quinta da Regaleira which is definitely worth seeing. We would stay here again!
