Being Porto Hostel in Porto

Fairly newly refurbished apt with a modern industrial look. Has heat pump system for heat & A/C ,Key pad main entryway and apt entry. Place is well appointed but for me the smoked glass door and wall separating the small bedroom & bath lacks a bit of privacy!

Owner Diogo is friendly and helpful.   Location of hotel is excellent.   Would stay in Hotel again in my visit to Porto

This hostel is very clean and extremely secure. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. It is centrally located and this part of the city is easy to navigate. They provide a terrific breakfast for a small fee. They also provide laundry services again for a small fee. A terrific place to stay in Porto.

The staff are the highlight of this place. Every single staff member was so professional. Few things that would improve this hostel- air con. It is so warm in the rooms, in communal rooms a fan is awkward. Also some privacy in the bunk beds, if you’re in top bunk, it’s very exposed. Clean hostel however, and great location!!! Lovely views from hostel balcony.

The hostel is close to the main sites, easy to find, easy to access via a key card and its location felt safe to walk around day and night. The staff answered my questions and were welcoming. My 4 bed female dorm, the bathroom and common areas were clean. The optional breakfast, started from 7.30am and cost 4 euros. We could help ourselves to it and it was plentiful, nutritious, varied, delicious and great value for money. The bed was a bit pricier than beds in most hostel dorm rooms in Porto but it was perfect for my type of trip and I'm happy I paid a few euros extra for a quality stay. I would especially recommend the hostel to solo female travellers, because it is one of the few hostels in Porto with 4 bed female dorms. I would recommend it to newcomers to Porto because it is easy to find from Sao Bento train station. I wouldn't recommend this hostel to people whose main aim is to meet lots of fellow travellers because the common areas didn't have lots of music and social vibe in November [low season], and there weren't any organised events such as bar crawls which there are in some of the more traditional hostels. This hostel had a more 'guesthouse' style and feel to it, at least when I visited in November anyway.

Pretty decent hostel in a very convenient location. However, there are no lifts in this hostel which makes it tough for me to bring my luggage all the way to the 3rd floor. Reception is NOT 24h, so I couldn’t check out earlier than the operating hours. Meh.
