The bass noise from the street in the cellars of the same building until morning hours is too much .... I have to change the hotel. Otherwise hotel is ok

We didn’t actually stay here, at least our stay was only 10 minutes long, but I want to celebrate integrity in a hotel. We had reservations at a different hotel, a much more expensive place. We arrived there and they insisted they did not have our paid reservation. It was our first time in Romania and we were stuck. We went onto Booking and found the New Era was within walking distance. So, we purchased it non-refundable and walked over and were given a room. About 10 minutes later the New Era got a call that our reservation had been located. Even though we had been in the room, the hotel agreed to refund our entire 3 day payment. I’m well aware they didn’t need to, but they were wonderful, both the young woman at the desk and the manager who needed to approve it.

We must thank the reception for helping us. After one night in the hotel we moved because the loudness from the outside. They were very kind not to charge us for the rest of the time. The hotel is in the middle of the old town and outside is very loud all night long. But for jung it is very good. The breakfast is exelent.

The hotel is in a very noisy street with several dodgy nightclubs just outside. Based on when the noisy music stopped, these clubs are open until about 4:30. Do not visit this hotel if you plan to sleep. The hotel itself was clean and as ok standard. But I do not believe for a second that the four stars are real.

This hotel is very central to many bars & restaurants - so expect noise and a lot going on just outside the entrance area. Room was fairly basic but nice and clean but we were in a loft room and the noise from the bars was so loud until early hours in the morning I barely slept. Breakfast was lovely - lots of choice and all fresh and replenished regularly. Good location to get around the old town.

New Era Hotel is a clean and cozy hotel in the heart of downtown.
Breakfast is good but can be much better as they name themselves a 4 star hotel.
The only negative item in this hotel in my point of view was that they put two bottles of water for the first day, and did not recharge them for the other days which was strange for a 4 star hotel in fact.

We had a very nice stay, the hotel looks amazing, great location, it's clean, has new furniture. The staff was always very nice and helpful. The parking arrangement at the shopping center is also great.
They could improve the breakfast though, I asked for fruit and only received 2 bowls of cantaloupe and 2 slices of orange. Ironically, cantaloupe is the only fruit that I don't like...
Overall, we were very happy therefore I 100% recommend this hotel.

Wonderful choice in the old town. Big clean rooms , very bice staff and amazing terrace on the top of the old town. Best choice in the center of the night life

The hotel is on a busy and noisy street, but the rooms were really nice and soundproof. I am overall really satisfied

Food was ok, but could be better. I am not eating sushi, so review is based on the other food in the menu. My wife said sushi was good, though. Ambiance is so-so, being in a mall. Service was ok.

Tasty traditional food with generous portions at good rates. Although we didn't get any attention when we entered, we were quickly served. Food service was fast and overall good, except that the waitress forgot to open our bottles after she brought our drinks.

Stay away. There was a baby cockroach in my bread basket (yes, seriously). Plus the service was awful. My entree was only okay (sausage and cabbage). The restaurant itself is beautiful. The peasant soup with pork rib was delicious.
