Hotel Sir Orhideea in Bucharest

I wish I could share photos. Upon arriving to the hotel I did a routine bedbug check as I do for every place I stay. When I inspected the bed there was blood on the sheets, blood on the pillows, hairs in the bed sheets, on the mattress, stains all over the sheets. The bed looked like it had not been cleaned at all. We went to tell the receptionist and ask for new bedding and she ARGUED with me! I took photographs and went down there and showed her and she proceeded to argue with me that it was okay. I had to fight with this woman and bring her up to the room and physically show her the disgusting bed, where she still proceeded to argue with me, that the curly black hairs and blood in the bed was not gross. I made it very clear we were not comfortable, that the bed was dirty and we will go to a different hotel if they can’t fix the issue; all I asked for was new sheets: she argued with me that the housekeeping was already gone at 6pm… I offered to change the sheets myself, and they did bring up new sheets after ARGUING and us refusing to stay. The sheets they brought didn’t even cover the mattress, my husband and I are on our honeymoon and this is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I would recommend staying anywhere else if you can. Also the AC doesn’t work and it is so hot. I never leave negative reviews but this was completely unacceptable, don’t stay here, we will never be returning. Tomorrow we will sleep in the airport because it’s cleaner.

Update: it’s 10:41 pm and there were RATS in the ceiling!!! We could hear the claws in the ceiling, we told the front desk and they said it was kids…. Kids don’t have claws and 4 feet! We ended up leaving the hotel; and booking a new hotel. When we got in the uber the driver told us it was a really bad hotel too. 0/10 if I could give it a negative rating I would! DO NOT STAY
