Yunost used to be one of the most interesting places to stay in Moscow. It was Soviet Style at its peak; a unique experience. It had curtained cubicles in the restaurant, paintings and sculptures galore, even a big photo of Brezhnev (& small.ones of Stalin& Kruschaev). There was a hairdresser and a pool/gym for those paying for the better rooms. In Lent, it had a meat free menu - the Novodevichney...

A great location with only a short walk to the metro. The room was simple but adequate. The included breakfast was nice, though left a bit to be desired around local cuisine (the dumplings on offer were an odd, sweet choice for breakfast).
