There is a sign, visible from afar, due to the fact that the hotel was opened relatively recently, taxi drivers do not know it and where it is, but the sign helps a lot. We liked the room and the service that we received from the front desk and restaurant. They tried to speak English and happy for the effort. Also we did not take the breakfast option as there is a shopping mall right next to the hotel. You can then I have a variety instead of just the hotel breakfast.

One of the best hotels in Irkutsk. The front desk has been helping me get a taxi. I am really grateful. Good afternoon! This is a wonderful hotel, from the reception to the breakfast. Even though the room was only 16 square meters, it was quite spacious, with a good large bed and bathroom. This is our third time staying at Zvezda, and everything is top-notch! Breakfasts cater to every taste, and dinner at the Okhotnikov restaurant is beyond praise! Whenever we arrive in Irkutsk, we only stay at Zvezda!

Good hotel in Irkutsk. It's near Ibis, where I mostly stay, but more affordable. And it appeared the Taiga hotel is really great, good service, great and friendly staff, comfortable rooms.
We were on a business trip, everything was at the highest level. We asked for a room with a balcony, we were shown five rooms to choose from! The staff is 5+ polite! Breakfast is good, delicious. We were at a business lunch in terms of price-quality ratio excellently, and tasty and inexpensive!

Excellent hostel with super friendly staff. Walkable distance to the train station. Much cheaper than staying at downtown/touristy area. The staff speak English and will help you to get to the lake Baikal or get public transport in the city. Highly recommended
Thumbs up for Xenia. She was really helpful. We spent 2 night here in order to get some rest and visit the town of Irkutsk and the great lake baikal. Recommended.
Clean hostel/hotel and helpful reception staff and who speaks English. Laundry facility available but no dryer. Kitchen is well equipped and clean. We had an en suite room. Towels and linens were provided, even slippers. Bathroom is generally clean. Just some water scale on the shower and the toilet is quite noisy.

Hotel is about 800 m from the train station. Around is several supermarkets where is possible to buy food. The kitchen inside hotel is very good equipped. Very close is also good and cheap Buryat's restaurant. To the city center is possible to go by public transport working very often and regularly.
