Savoy Hotel in Moscow

The hotel is great! Nice pool. The location is wonderful. The staff is courteous. The price is reasonable for the comfort!

Walking today between the Savoy Hotel and the Central Children's Store, one is touched by the current blissful situation, but I remember how in the spring and summer of 1992, right on this spot, and throughout the entire old Children's World, there was a wild flea market where everything was sold—clothing, shoes, food, old things. The Savoy Hotel has seen a lot. The Savoy Hotel (before 1914 and from 1958 to 1988, the Berlin Hotel) was a hotel built for the Salamandra insurance company at the intersection of Rozhdestvenka and Sofiyka Streets (now Pushechnaya). After 1917, the hotel was converted into a dormitory, and fourteen years later the building was transferred to the All-Union Hotel Society. During her visit to Moscow, the dancer Isadora Duncan stayed in the building. Among the hotel's guests at various times were footballer Diego Maradona, opera singers Montserrat Caballé and Luciano Pavarotti, actors Jane Fonda, Richard Gere, Steven Seagal, and others. So, with the borders closed, my wife and I decided to stay here for the weekend to join the celebrity crowd. The price of approximately 11,000 rubles per night seemed extremely reasonable for a hotel of this caliber. The breakfasts were delicious, the staff was friendly. We enjoyed everything. We unwinded and took a break from our homes.

I went on the "Luxurious Savoy with Tea Party" tour. It was very interesting and informative. The interiors were breathtakingly beautiful. And at the end, we were treated to a delicious dessert and champagne.

Great hotel! Very polite staff, nice and clean rooms. Beautiful interior and location. The view from the window is reminiscent of old St. Petersburg. Good, tasty breakfasts. The pool is a bonus, despite the building's age. I recommend it!
