- The staff were not friendly; they didn’t even smile or say ‘enjoy your stay.’ They don’t speak English. The cleaner was very rude—she spoke to me in a disrespectful way in Russian, and she cleaned my room only once.

This is a budget hotel, but to have a budget rate one has to sacrifice some conveniences. In particular, there are no coffee makers in the rooms (cooler/heater on a floor is not nearly a good replacement for a coffee maker in a room), a maide comes once a week to clean a room (although she takes away trash every day) , there is no hotel parking, no cable internet (only Wi-Fi), and no airport transfer. There is a restaurant on premises serving reasonably good budget breakfast. For a current (fall-winter season) price it's a reasonably good place, especially due to an absolutely great surrounding Yakimanka district streets (paved with granite!), buildings, shops, churches, parks, architecture and Kremlin in about a mile (over Kamennyj bridge - Stone bridge across the Moscow river). I absolutely love all Moscow center districts, and Yakimanka is.one of the finest ones.

Wifi connection is terrible, the interior design is from Soviet Union. It is very cheap though and location is good. Breakfast is average. Don't expect much all in all.

Conveniently located close to the centre of Moscow, Soviet-era style 15 floor building with red carpets on the floor. The most important for me was a clean bathroom, comfortable bed and fast check in service.

Lifts are out of order sometimes, though they fix it within an hour or two.

Buffet breakfast is included but with same poor selection: boiled eggs, sausage and cold cuts tray, oatmeal and semolina porridge, coleslaw, baked omlet and pretty good baked cottage cheese (zapekanka). The pies were chewy and tastless.
Coffee is really bad, had to go outside to buy a cup of good coffee.

There are lots of cafe's, restaurants and bakeries nearby, so I don't recommend to eat in a hotel restaurant which called jazz-bar, with inflated prices and lower than average food.

The hotel is quite busy with business travellers and tourist traveling on budget. The location is within 5 min walk to the metro station Oktyabrskaya (brown circle on the Metro map). Taxis are easily available, I mostly ordered through Uber or Yandex apps.
