We booked this stay for our honeymoon, and overall the place itself is absolutely beautiful. The snorkeling and swimming were amazing, and the location truly offers a perfect, peaceful experience. Honestly, there’s no need to book a 3- or 4 star property when this place already delivers so much.

I’m giving 4 stars only because of our interaction with one staff member, Pence. Before arriving, I had confirmed with Katrina on Booking.com that fishing was allowed (no restrictions) and kayaking was subject to weather, which was understandable. However, on arrival, Pence told us kayaks had been stopped for 8 months and fishing was not allowed. When I mentioned my earlier confirmation, he changed his stance, saying kayaking was permanently disallowed but he could show me a fishing spot — in a rather rude and unwelcoming manner.

While showing us the room, we noticed other guests using kayaks. He then changed his explanation again, saying for safety reasons they don’t give kayaks, but if we insisted, they could arrange one.

The inconsistency and overall vibe were disappointing, and because of that, we didn’t go fishing or kayaking during our 3-day stay.

That said, the property itself is superb and truly offers a wonderful honeymoon experience.

Our flights from Europe were cancelled due to the Middle East airspace closure — a widely reported international crisis entirely beyond our control. Our check-in was 9th March; we flagged the situation to the hotel on 1st March, giving them over a week's notice. Rather than responding promptly, the hotel made us wait days before finally offering to charge us 2 nights and allow rebooking of 3 nights within 6 months. For guests travelling from Europe, where a trip to Seychelles is a once-in-several-years undertaking, a 6-month rebook window is not a genuine solution — it is effectively a full loss. When we didn't immediately cancel (because doing so under their standard policy would have forfeited everything), they sent a follow-up message explicitly stating they needed us to cancel so they could re-sell the room, threatening full charges if we refused. In the same message, they suggested we could still make it by booking last-minute flights at 4 days' notice — at enormous cost — during an active regional conflict that had already cancelled our original route. The hotel had the opportunity to act with basic compassion during a genuine crisis. Instead they prioritised re-selling the room while keeping our money. I have the full written exchange to document everything described here. For families considering this property: be aware of how they treat guests when circumstances beyond your control prevent travel.

The views were wonderful, the furnishings modern and very well-maintained, everything we needed was there, and everything was spotlessly clean! It was very quiet at night, so we woke up refreshed. On our way home, we spontaneously rebooked to stay another three nights. We almost felt at home! Many thanks to the entire friendly team at Beach Cottages!!! We'd love to come back!

We have stayed here for the fourth time. Our expectations are always exceeded, especially the friendly and helpful staff. A big THANK YOU to Katrin, Cyril, Pence and Jena! They accommodated us for one night for free when our flight was delayed for 11 hours and the airport had no place to direct us to. We called at night, they ordered a taxi and also met us. Remarkable: There ist a water dispenser in the room, you dont need to carry water bottles. Bus stop in front of the area. Supermarket 1 min away. There ist a construction site beneath, it was not disturbing us. Try the Creole Infusion delivery service, better than in a restaurant!

This place was very clean, spacious great garden view, could go snorkeling at high tide, everything inside was all nicely designed. The cottages were nicely spaced apart in large spacious yard. Not overrun with people there. All the staff and owner were very friendly and helpful for arranging a taxi for island tours and anything else that you requested help with. We highly recommend Beach Cottages.

The property was nice. We did have a lot of ants and had to improvise on coffee. Felt like the manager wasn’t as nice/honest as other managers from hotels in Seychelles, but overall good experience.

I had a very comfortable stay with the facilities being way above expectations. The accommodation is located in a quiet area with a couple of restaurants and shops located a few minutes drive away, and around 20 minutes from the airport.
