Reviews
There were dining options available for lunch and dinner. While the menus could be expanded further, I was satisfied with the meals I had — the portions were generous, filling, and tasty.
Room cleanliness was excellent. Housekeeping was very attentive and met all my daily needs, including providing bottled water every day.
I would especially like to mention Abdulfettah ( who is 10/10) at the front desk. He was extremely professional, kind, and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. His service truly enhanced our overall experience.
Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and I would gladly recommend this property.
There were virtually no daytime activities, which made the stay particularly disappointing for families. Unfortunately, both of our children became ill during the trip, which we suspect may have been related to the food. Overall, the food quality was very poor.
Our experience at the kids’ club was also disappointing. On our first visit, it closed abruptly during the day. When we returned the next day, the staff member had removed the toy cars that my son had specifically come to play with. When I asked about them, she was unapologetic and did not bring them out. Instead, she seemed annoyed that we were using the full kids’ club area rather than staying in one section, despite the fact that we were the only family there.
Service throughout the property was consistently slow. Check-in took much longer than expected, and poolside service was delayed every time we used it. Even something as simple as replacing the rock-hard pillows took an entire day after we requested it.
The beach was also misleading. It is not private and not particularly well maintained.
Overall, the resort is far too expensive for the level of quality and service provided. In hindsight, I wish we had spent the same money staying somewhere else.
The one bright spot during our stay was the hotel nurse. When we needed medical advice for our children, she was incredibly helpful, kind, and professional. She was truly wonderful.
A heartfelt thank you to Chef Mukesh, Mr Abdelfattah, Judith, and Gaelle for their exceptional care and kindness—especially for looking after our boy so thoughtfully.
Their warmth and professionalism made our stay truly special. We can’t wait to come back!
Big thank you to the restaurant team from the manager of the restaurant mr.sergey to every single staff member . They are always happy to serve us . Thanks to deb , zin and Praveen from gecko restaurant.
We will definitely come back and recommend savoy to all our friends
However, the biggest negative point of this hotel is clearly the service. Some staff members were very good and genuinely made an effort to make us feel welcome. For example, the gentleman who took our luggage up to the room was professional, polite, and did his job perfectly. Unfortunately, not all of the staff are trained at the same level, and this is where the experience really falls short of 5-star standards.
We did not receive our welcome drink at arrival. I asked twice for it to be sent up to our room, and both times it was simply forgotten. We also were not given any information regarding the Wi-Fi password, which is a very basic detail in any hotel, especially a 5-star one. These may seem like small things, but in luxury hospitality, details matter a lot.
What was most disappointing is not only that these issues happened, but how they were handled. At the end of our stay, we informed the staff about the missing welcome drink and the overall lack of follow-up. There was no real apology, no sense of concern, and no effort to make things right. It felt like it was “okay whatever” for them, which is not acceptable at this level.
As clients who are used to staying in 5-star hotels, this was honestly one of the worst service experiences we have had in that category. When staff are not properly trained and do not attend to basic client needs, it directly affects the overall quality and image of the hotel, no matter how beautiful the property is.
This hotel has strong potential, but service consistency and staff training clearly need major improvement to truly meet 5-star expectations.
Any time we needed help, whether it was recommendations . he was the one who made everything effortless. His support made our stay smoother and so much more enjoyable.
If anyone is visiting Mahé Seychelles and staying at the Savoy, I highly recommend reaching out to him for any assistance. He is dedicated, helpful, and goes above and beyond for guests. A true gem at the hotel was Pescado restaurant is a next level
I recommend to order seafood selection and you wont regret it!!🤤
Thank you, Abdelfattah, for making our trip unforgettable.
