Unfortunately, our stay at Hotel Garden Hills & spa was disappointing and not something I would recommend, especially considering the price we paid.

The main issue was the service. Most of the staff appeared untrained, which significantly affected the overall experience. In addition, the staff uniforms/wardrobe should be improved. Due to the heat, staff were visibly sweating, which was uncomfortable and unhygienic, particularly while dining.

That said, I want to make a very special mention of Nancy. She was an absolute angel with a heart of gold. Her professionalism, kindness, and genuine care made a noticeable difference and truly stood out. Without Nancy, the stay would have been a bad experience overall. She did everything possible to improve our time at the hotel and deserves sincere recognition and praise.

The room and pool area were nice, but unfortunately this did not make up for the service shortcomings. For the price charged, the experience fell far below expectations.

Excellent hotel. Delicious and varied breakfasts. The hotel is located on a hill, but that's not a problem. In 5 minutes, a car will pick you up and take you wherever you ask within the hotel or to the beach. They'll also pick you up from the beach and take you directly to your room. The rooms are large, and the decor and furniture are excellent. We didn't want to leave. The restaurant menu could use a children's menu with smaller portions.

Good hotel with excellent breakfasts. It's located on a hill, so it might be challenging for elderly people or those with strollers. Otherwise, it's a reasonable combination of price and quality.

I am currently staying at this four-star resort with my wife to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.

Upon arrival, the check-in process took nearly one hour. For a resort of this standard, especially on a special occasion like Valentine’s Day, I expected a far more efficient and welcoming experience. The long delay immediately affected what was meant to be a relaxing and memorable stay.

On Valentine’s night, we attended the special prepaid dinner, which included three cocktails — one paired with the entrée, one with the main course, and one with dessert. Unfortunately, the cocktails were not ready on time, and when served, we were not satisfied with their quality. They were quite difficult to digest and, regrettably, caused stomach discomfort. For an event that was fully prepaid and marketed as a special romantic experience, this was very disappointing.

The following day, we had a pre-reserved 30-minute spa session each. However, the masseuse never came and we ended up waiting for over an hour. This significantly disrupted our schedule and wasted valuable time at the resort. When you plan a short romantic getaway, every minute counts, and such poor time management is unacceptable for a four-star establishment.

Overall, the lack of organization and punctuality fell far below expectations. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves their service standards, especially during peak or special occasions.

An Unforgettable Christmas Dinner Experience at Gardens Hill Resort & Spa

We had the pleasure of dining at Gardens Hill Resort & Spa on 25th December, while celebrating Christmas, and our experience was exceptional from start to finish.

Our first impression began at the security gate, where we were warmly welcomed by the security officer, who kindly explained the procedures, as it was our first visit to the hotel. He guided us to the parking area and informed us that reception was located nearby, assuring us that assistance would be provided.

Upon reaching the parking area, a member of the reception team came out to greet us and interacted with us warmly and professionally, making us feel immediately welcome. He explained that a vehicle would shortly transport us to the restaurant. The transfer was prompt, and the driver was friendly and professional.

Arriving at the restaurant was truly a wow moment. The atmosphere was beautiful and perfectly suited for a Christmas celebration. We were warmly welcomed by the restaurant staff and attended to by Heron, whose friendliness, attentiveness, and professionalism stood out throughout the evening. Isabelle also visited our table several times to ensure that we were enjoying our experience, which made us feel genuinely valued as guests.

The music created a wonderful ambiance, and the mocktails were exceptional — beautifully presented with superb garnishes.

The dining experience was outstanding. From the starters to the main courses, the food was delicious, beautifully plated, and served promptly without delay. The presentation and quality exceeded our expectations.

This was truly a Christmas dinner experience we will never forget. Our sincere thanks to Heron, Isabelle, and the entire Gardens Hill team for making our evening so memorable. We look forward to returning.

The hotel was excellent, featuring elegant design and impressive architecture. The staff were professional, welcoming, and highly attentive. The room was clean and well maintained throughout the stay. The driver was courteous and very helpful. The quality of the food was outstanding, particularly at the pool bar, and the breakfast buffet was exceptional.

This is a flea market on Beau Vallon Beach. It's opens every Friday as per what the locals told me. The items are cheaper than the same items which we can purchase from our resorts or big shops. This is the source of earning for those who put their stalls. They are kind and the customer service which I received was just Fabulous. It has variety of items like spices which are fresh and also good hand made soaps. We get juices and good barbeque meat too.

Very nice location, the best sunset spot with a glass of wine and seafood. However all food are special, look nice, but tasted very natural, so if you are expecting flavours not just nicely prepared food on your plate, it's better to choose another restaurant. You will save huge amount of money because this place is extremely overpriced. Dinner for two was 2500 srp. Not to mention the slow service.

The normal food to eat on Mahe. As it turned out - the owner is European. Certainly expensive, but in the Seychelles, all expensive. But this food though!
For it is immediately obvious when there is no host :) the Staff goes to sleep on the go! :)
