Bohinj Eco Hotel in Bohinjsko Jezero

Brought a group of tourist to this hotel. Hotel’s breakfast starts at 7:00am. We have to depart from hotel early next morning so request for breakfast to start at 06:30. Operations Manager wanted to charge us extra for early breakfast. Most hotels throughout Croatia / Slovenia has breakfast from 06:30. Also most hotels are willing to accede to our request for early breakfast without charges. This is basic customer services and accommodating the customers. The very night - hotel switched off the air conditioning at 22:00hrs. Weather was pleasant and not too warm. However we are not used to sleeping with doors/windows open. Again the Operations manager refuse to turn on the air conditioning and said other guest felt too cold. He forgot - we are also guest in the hotel. Is it because we are Asians and treated badly?? Comments Rooms: decent and dated. Facilities - basic only liquid soap Hotel breakfast was decent and good spread. Lightings - corridor very dim and rooms poor lights. TV does not work and remote not functioning. Will I recommend this hotel - Definitely NOOOOO!!!!!!

Probably the worst 4 star hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The sofa in the room had stains on, the walls had dirty marks all over. There were no tea making facilities and not even a bottle of water in the room.. The air conditioning didn’t work and over the three days of our stay tbe room was never serviced. Breakfast was mediocre and the room was more like a canteen. Took one look at the pool which was crowded with children and extremely noisy so didn’t visit. Would not recommend staying here, there are better places nearby.

I stayed at Bohinj Eco Hotel during my trip to Slovenia, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. When I arrived, the first impression of my room was not very positive. There was a dirty stain on the floor, and to make matters worse, the air conditioning did not work at all. This made the room feel uncomfortable, especially after a long day of exploring. The Wi-Fi was another big issue – it was extremely unreliable and most of the time simply didn’t work, which was very frustrating as a solo traveler who relies on internet access for planning and staying connected. The biggest letdown, however, was the food. Both breakfast and dinner were far below expectations. The quality and variety were poor, and I quickly regretted booking half board. Thankfully, I discovered Hotel Tripič, just across the street, which turned out to be an excellent alternative with delicious meals and great service. I ended up eating there instead and can highly recommend it. The spa, swimming pool, and wellness facilities were fine – nothing extraordinary, but a decent place to relax. Somehow the Wellness contained camera's? Whilst bathing clothes are Forbidden inside the sauna's. Staff throughout the hotel were polite, but overall this did not make up for the many shortcomings. In the end, the negatives outweighed the positives for me. The poor room conditions, lack of working air conditioning, unreliable Wi-Fi, and disappointing food made my stay far from what I had hoped for. I truly regret choosing the half board option here, and I would not stay again under the same conditions.

The building is very poorly maintained. Reception staff very unfriendly. Rooms poorly cleaned. Staff can be heard talking very loudly in the bar in the building itself. Very disappointed. Pretty bad for the price.
