An outdated hotel designed for the elderly. The food is poor, overcooked and mostly bland. We couldn't arrange massage treatments because there was fully booked. The town is boring and there's nothing to do there.

Amazing stay at Rogaška once again. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are lovely, and ours had an amazing view. The food was excellent, with a wide variety to choose from.

The hotel is neat, clean and pleasant. The staff was very friendly, at dinner we ordered bottles of mineral water that we couldn't drink and the waiter prepared them for us for the next day. The rooms are large and comfortable. What we didn't like was the pool, which is really small. Dinner alone lasts 2 hours and the dishes that were tasty were constantly missing, some salads were not refilled after they were used up. The cakes were bland, but the rest of the food is mostly delicious. The part where it's like a playroom for smaller children is pretty much stuck in a corner and a bit boring, adults with children have nothing to do except sit on 2 couches and that's it.

The building is amazing, and the staff is nice and polite. However, management should be present and managing the staff better. The owners does not deserve a building like this. This property should be part of the Four Seasons chain, not a falling-apart museum building. Breakfast is really bad and not good. The F&B manager is nowhere around, there are no waiters, no service, and only one cook.

They said that the valentines package includes valentines welcome. We did not received that.
SPA is very bad. They have 4 Saunas, 3 of them are 🇫🇮 saunas. Looks dirty.
Definitely not worth 400€ for two nights.

If you're considering booking this hotel, think twice! The food and service are poor quality and like many of us you will leave hugely disappointed. The only good thing about this hotel is that some of the rooms are nicely renovated, but that's about it. It is most definitely not worth the price you pay and the experience of sleeping in a beautiful old hotel is worthless.
Food: it feels like eating in a cheap canteen rather than in a 4 star hotel.
For dinner we got a fried salmon steak probably cooked in stale oil and overcooked vegetables. We left the entire dinner. The waitress even frowned upon us when we wanted to get the wine card. For breakfast you get fried eggs with a sausage and mustard, the cheapest ones you can get in any supermarket. Yuck. The selection of fruit and bread is poor. The cheese and salami plates are wrapped in a plastic foil.
Service:
Firstly, they probably never heard about such a thing called guest expectation management: when we made the reservation 2 weeks in advance, they told us the price was 60 euros per room, per night, for both. We checked again and they reconfirmed. We asked for a reservation confirmation, but they said that it's okay, we can trust them. When we arrived at the hotel, we were surprised to learn that the price was double, 120 euros per room, per night, for 2 people. We didn't complain as we thought it was our fault not to insist on the written confirmation. But we would have never booked the hotel for that amount.
Secondly, they don't go the extra mile for you and try to make your wishes possible, but they rather put limitations on them. We were only allowed to go to the saunas for 30min max, although there are plenty of saunas and barely any visitors to the wellness area due to sunny weather outside. What is more, the spa lady actually entered in the sauna to throw us out, because we stayed longer than we should! Outrageous.
In the end we considered giving a feedback to the receptionist if they asked if we liked our stay, but they never did, of course. We will for sure never be back. What a shame to waste such a gorgeous historical building for a rather canteen and motel feel.

This is in no way 4 stars hotel. My parents booked Comfort room, it looks great in photos, but only in photos. air condition is unbearably loud, towels were not fresh and stank. At Grand Hotel Rogaška hotel reception and also in written paper that "welcomed" them in their room they were notified that their room will not be cleaned every day. Really? In 4 stars hotel? When complaining the answer was to send complaint to their hotel manager. The so called "Comfort room" overlooked parking place and had ceiling 4 meters high, water sink in bathroom was clogged. They as guests were asked to bring dirty towels to the hotel reception, unthinkable! They decided to eat their lunch or dinner in other hotels, because At least staff there was friendly. The worst 4 stars hotel ever.

Everything seems fine, but a huge number of Russians living in the cheapest rooms. It's funny to watch as they endure in sudochki and bags of food with Breakfast, because Breakfast is paid, and money for lunch and dinner or not, or to waste. Coffee for Breakfast - wash, uneaten food put up for lunch and dinner. Fresh 50%, maybe less. The staff is attentive, watching everything with a smirk, Russian after all, everyone eats. When I learned that we are from Ukraine, the attitude has changed dramatically for the better. For health card, I wrote in large letters - I'm not Russian, to avoid unnecessary questions. Many Kazakhs do not know why. Effect of local medicinal water is not felt. Everything is clean and tidy, the cigarette butts on the ground leave only Russian, no wonder it's their culture. The presence of toilets every 30-40 meters just a story. Nature is amazing! Went to the mountains of garbage in the woods isn't signs everywhere in Europe. Second time here will not go, so many Russian just sick! Meat mainly pork, almost no beef, rarely chicken or river fish. Medical center - you have to wait for a shared shower with no doors, naked women, etc. on the third day was completely disappointed. The prices do not match the level of service. On water it is better to go in Baden-Baden, where there are so many Russian. Sorry I got here.

Great hotel ! The friendly staff at the reception. Irene special thank you!!!Beautiful restaurant, the kitchen this year excellent!! Waiters are trained guys starayutsya!Stay in it 4 years. Renovated rooms, bright and cozy. Excellent location. In cold weather it is not necessary to go outside to get to the Honey.center, pool ( very clean) and a sauna. Everything is connected by internal transitions.
Clean different shifts on this are there any questions for housekeeping. One change removes fine. The second does).
But in General, I recommend!

It's a very good value for money, but since we've been coming for years now there always seem to be a few things slipping from the maintenance list (for example thermometer and timers in saunas that have been broken/missing for a year...)
They also seem a bit understaffed.

Overall hotel was nice, if little outdated. We had breakfast and dinner both of which were good and staff was quite friendly and helpful. We were glad about free parking in enclosed parking lot.
As a minus the saunas were only opened between 4-7 pm and the aircon in the room was not working so the rooms were quite hot. I could not quite imagine being there during summer.

Rooms are outdated and the beds are just awful. The matress is rock hard and the beds are creaky. We booked a room with two beds and that is exactly what we got: two beds, pushed together, so there was a gap in between them. I didn't get any sleep.

Another problem with the rooms is the hallway doors don't fit the doorframe, so light from the hallway was shining into the room the entire night. You could also hear every sound from the hallway. Never encountered something like this in any other hotel I was in.

Saunas: we booked this hotel because it had a lot of different saunas. When we got there we realised saunas are open only from 4pm and two of them didn't work.

Location: beautiful surroundings, with the square in front having some lovely old buildings around it and a nice coffee place on the other side. There are beautiful hiking trails around as well. Scenery is peaceful and relaxing.

Final thoughts: will definitely come back to Rogaška Slatina, but not this hotel.

Excellent staff, excellent breakfast, very good dinner choices. Rooms are clean, hotel is in solid state. Hotel is directly connected with medical center, mineral rich water hall, shops and spa center. Pool and saunas are excellent. Around the hotel you can also find nice parks and playgrounds for children. Surrounding area was quiet and perfect for resting. Free parking inside hotel grounds was available. Value for money is very good.

The location of the hotel is great, in the beatiful nature. Free parking in the front of the hotel. A lot of possibility for walking and hiking ( unfortunatelly no snow ). The surrounding is very nice and clean. The stuff is very kind.
The room is simply equipped, no iron, no cattle for tea but it was very clean. For the couple two separate beds instead of one. The matresses and pillows not very comfortable.

The worst part was the new year dinner. The price was 80 euro per person and in that price no beverages at all. Even no water. The band who was playing was awfull performed for 15 minutes and took the break for 10 minutes. No game, no lottery. And it was the pattern for the whole night. They even missed to count down the new year.
The variety of the food was on the high level but the preparation of the food was pretty bad, specially for meat. One didn't know which kind of meat was on the table. All had similar unpleasant taste.
The cakes were great. The breakfast was also great.
The swimming pool was very good, clean warm water 29°degrees in the jacuzzi 34° but the swimming pool is pretty small for such a big hotel.
In conclusion: our stay was fine but I would not recommend the hotel for the new year celebration.

Hotel from the past century, does not deserve 4 stars for sure. We arrived at 12 and all the saunas, massages and the spa roi were full. They cannot offer us nothing, so we overpaid 200€ just for a night in an old and small room

For a hotel with 4 stars it is quite underwhelming. Nothing special for the price(290€ for 2 nights). The food was okay, when you were able to get it, since the cafeteria is overcrowded and full. We didn't get "carski praženec" for breakfast, because we had breakfast sheduled for 9-10, and i guess it ran our before we even got there. The pool is also just a small pool, which is not big enough for the amount of people this hotel hosts. The jacuzzies are small and have their jets broken, so it's just a small warmer pool that you have to fight to enter, since there are only 2 of them. All in all, dissapointed and not worth the money, when there are better and cheaper options available.

There was nothing grand about GRAND Hotel Sava. After we checked in, we got a room that hasn't even been cleaned yet. There were no apologies, but they did find us a new room. The room was decent, except the ceiling in the bathroom was leaking from the floor above.
The pools were overcrowded (Covid limit 40), at some point there were 80 people inside, and the whirpools in the jacuzzis were not even working.
On the plus side, the sauna was pleasant and kept clean at all times, and the food in the restaurant was pretty decent too, even though the tables were too close together for covid restricitions.
2/5 will not come again.

Very friendly staff, clean but small room. Not enough seats in restaurant. We didn’t get drinks at dinner, because waiters were too busy. Food was average, bread for breakfast was old. Pool is very small and need to be renovated.
