The Grand Hotel Myeongdong in Seoul

Airport bus is nearby, very close to the metro station line 4. And it just takes 2 to 3 stations to go to Seoul station by bus.
There are many restaurants and shops near the hotel.

Our stay at The Grand Hotel Myeongdong was fantastic, thanks to its unbeatable location right by the train station and surrounded by endless shops and eateries. We could easily stay out late for shopping sprees and late-night snacks without any hassle getting back.

The room was spotlessly clean, and the staff were warm and friendly throughout our visit. Highly recommend for anyone exploring Myeongdong!

We took the ‘standard room’. It was an absolutely tiny room, so small I couldn’t walk around the bed but had to scramble over it instead - see photo. It was supposed to be 18sqm but I guess that included the toilet, the cupboard and the mini fridge. So it was a bit of a squeeze, but the hotel makes up for its minuscule room sizes by being in the heart of Myeongdong shopping and street food area. Location is really good if you are set on exploring Myeongdong only. For anything else there’s probably a better choice. 
Facilities were good, everything you need, clear tidy and professionally run boutique hotel. We didn’t take the breakfast option. Front desk managed to find a power strip for me as the power sockets were a bit limited and they gave me some extra water which they didn’t need to do. I did make an enquiry about getting a taxi to the airport and they ask for 110,000KWN which I know is well over the standard rate. We took the metro instead for 12,000. This hotel isn’t cheap, but for being in the heart of Myeongdong, it’s worth paying a little extra for the location.

Located near Myeongdong Station, it's very close to both the airport bus stop and the subway station, making getting around super convenient. It's also close to several subway lines. The staff service was excellent, and the room size was just right. 👍 Good value for money! Just remember to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste.

The location is fantastic, and check-in was a breeze. It's right by the pedestrian street, so all the good food, drinks, and shopping are incredibly close. The duty-free shop is less than a 20-minute walk away – you can just stroll there at your leisure. Plus, there are three convenience stores nearby!

Location is excellent. Convenience store, subway, bus, food, shopping. All is within walking distance distance. Make last shopping a breeze. There’s only 1 washer and 1 dryer which may cause some queuing to wash your laundry. The door is quite heavy as it is made up of metal and your neighbours may accidentally close the door lousy and may disturb your sleep. Soundproofing is decent with earplugs.

Had to wake up just to know it was false alarm. Alarm took bout 30 to an hour to shut down. Had a bad night. Overall impression okay

Hotel manger is very friendly and response well to request . Always out on a smile. Carpet cleanliness to be improved. Feel very happy to be back to hotel after a long day outside.

I had a fantastic stay at the Grand Hotel Myeongdong. The location is unbeatable—right in the middle of all the shopping and food stalls, yet surprisingly quiet at night since it’s at the quieter end of the Myeondong area. The room was compact but very clean, with comfortable beds and all the essentials. Staff were friendly and spoke good English, which made check-in smooth. I especially appreciated the free water bottles, daily housekeeping, and the excellent location. If you’re looking for a clean, safe, and convenient place to stay in Seoul, this is it!
