Quaint Cordoba Lovely old hotel & the proprietors were very friendly & hepful. It was a great location - we walked everywhere. It was in a beautiful, interesting neighbourhood of winding streets & squares. The room was clean, comfortable size, quiet. The only drawback was the shower which was very small & water temperature varied. We would stay here again!

The location is great. The rooms are okay. The staff is friendly, but the hotel closes down from whenever they want so you won’t have access to your luggage or your room. You have to make arrangements with the staff and the hours change daily. Sometimes they are open until Midnight, sometimes until 2am. Hotel was in a 10 mins walk from mezquita catedral and most of the attraction were easily accessible. It was totally worth the money I paid for the room

The receptionist is a very professional gentleman, he speaks English and German, explained everything before I had to ask and was very helpful on all occasions. The view from the room was cute. 3 nights in Cordoba Small family run hotel just inside the historical centre of the town. Great location for exploring Cordoba and surrounding area, close to station, park, buses,cafés, shops. Really clean hotel in a very central location. 4/5 because: - the hallway was noisy until 2 or 3 in the morning. I don’t know if it was other rooms or the office/service staff - unfortunately I saw a cockroach in my room!

Some of the other reviews seemed unduly harsh. It’s a 2 star hotel so it’s wise to manage expectations. The lady at reception spoke perfect English and was very helpful. The hotel is basic and our room was small but clean and in the bathroom there were toiletries available and plenty of hot water. The location is very good and there is a supermarket opened on the Sunday across the street.

What a beautiful place. We had the studio room and it was BIG with many amenities. The service was top-notch. The manager and other workers could not be more accommodating with luggage, parking etc. If you happen to go to Cordoba (which is a must) everything is within walking distance to this hotel. Also the rooms are very clean and noise free.

This was a lovely sanctuary for us. Geraldo greeted us warmly and offered fantastic suggestions about how to plan our day and evening in Cordoba. I absolutely loved how quiet it was! I slept so well after many nights of disturbed sleep in Madrid. I highly recommend this spot for hospitality and phenomenal sleep!

Stayed here for two nights. Great location for all the best places in Cordoba. It's basic, but comfortable, clean and friendly. We had room 306 which was really quiet with 2 comfortable single beds. We have just spent three nights at Carpe diem and it was excellent. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was perfectly comfortable and well cleaned. Stayed in this good little hostal in March 2016. Ferdinand may not have been "El Guapo" but he was very friendly and hospitable.

Fernando el guapo was amazing and so welcoming. He recommended casa basillo to us. And recomended the hostal in granada. Would go back to stay again. My only issue...the water heater..but now I know. My fault for having it up too high. :)

The location is close to city center, very clean and newly furnished room which is so important to me. But the walls were so thin there was no sound isolation. We enjoyed our stay. The room was tight but the view was worth it. Expect noise through the night between tourist and garage pickup.
