Soho Boutique Colón in Malaga

I have used the Soho Boutique chain several times, and once again Soho Boutique Colón in Málaga proved why I continue to return. Unfortunately, I had to cancel a recent booking due to severe flooding in my area in Ireland. The hotel handled the situation with absolute professionalism and understanding. They were excellent in every way — compassionate, efficient, and incredibly accommodating during what was a stressful time. Their response only strengthened my confidence in the brand. On previous stays, the hotel has consistently delivered first-class comfort, style, and outstanding service. The location is superb, the rooms are immaculate, and the atmosphere is both elegant and welcoming. As a National Guide from Ireland, I experience hotels regularly and understand the importance of genuine hospitality. I would have no hesitation in recommending Soho Boutique Colón — and the wider Soho Boutique group — to every kind of traveller. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were all fantastic, very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was excellent too. Location was perfect for us. it was only about a 5 or 10 minute walk to the main shopping area, the harbour and the beach. They have discounted rates with the multi-storey parking lot which is really close by. (Just get your ticket stamped at reception before returning to your car). We would definitely recommend it and we will be back ourselves.

Lovely hotel in a great location with friendly staff and spotlessly clean. Rooms are stylishly decorated, spacious and comfortable. Location is great for exploring the city on foot and 5 mins walk from the train to the airport. We had a great stay and would recommend.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable, which made our stay very pleasant. The only downside was the lack of flexibility regarding late check-out. We had a flight at 10 p.m., and since we were traveling with a small child, this made the day quite tiring. We were willing to pay extra for a late check-out, so cost was not an issue. The hotel was also not fully booked, which made this situation even more surprising. What was disappointing is that we were only informed on the day itself that a late check-out was not possible, even though we had asked about it the day before. This is something we have never experienced at other hotels. Overall, a very nice stay, but the late check-out policy could definitely be improved, especially for families with young children.

Good, central location. Spacious and clean rooms. Plenty of choices at breakfast. Good restaurant close by for dinner. I was not disturbed by noise from other rooms or the street. The hotel staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

Very nice and quiet boutique hotel. Great location close to center, 5 minutes to Atarazanas market, 25mins to the beach. Small, but clean and quiet rooms. Bed for me too hard, but I could manage will all those extra pillows. Great breakfast, only served too late for my taste, 7,30 and 08,00 on weekends is late when you have meetings or some tour aranged. Staff very nice and helpfull. We tried their recomended restaurants and were not dissapointed. Would definitely come back.

Good location easily walkable from train and bus stations. Nice lobby area. Enough lifts. Comfortable rooms and good choice of breakfast.

I didn’t find anything wrong with this hotel. It met our needs perfectly. They arranged with someone to pick us up at the airport after midnight when our plane got in and dropped us right off at the front door of this hotel where someone came out to meet us and help us with our luggage. The room was nice and on exactly the floor I wanted with palm trees and parakeets right outside the window. The bathroom felt sumptuous with a nice rainfall shower and the bed was big and comfortable. They had a fully stocked mini bar and I did have a water out of it which they didn’t charge me for. The breakfast was good the next morning, nice selection. The hotel is located right near old town and was easy to get to the things we wanted to see within a 15 minute walk. Decorated nicely, I’d definitely recommend this hotel. I got it for a good price too and felt well looked after. They watched over our luggage after we checked out so we could do some sightseeing and called us a taxi when we were ready to leave. A1 service.

2 weeks before our arrival we booked a room for two at a good price. We arrived a little before check in time but were able to leave our bags without any problem. We were received very friendly. Everything was very tidy inside including the reception desks. When we returned to check in we found that we had been upgraded to the 6th floor of the hotel. Junior Suite. It was lovely. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable furniture. Coffee and water were included. The bathroom was beautifully enclosed with a separate door for the toilet and a separate door with a large shower cubicle (with a large rain head and a separate shower head). The bedroom had a cozy terrace with 2 chairs and a table. This terrace overlooked the main shopping street of Malaga. Truly a top hotel. Highly recommended. Not the cheapest. But sometimes you can find great prices online. 🤗

The hotel is in a strategic location, just cross the road to experience the magical atmosphere of Malaga city center, impeccable service, staff very attentive to the needs of the customers. The rooms are beautiful and functional. I recommend having a cocktail on the seventh floor, where you have a beautiful view of Malaga. We will be back!!!!
