Where to stay in Malaga

Great hotel. We were very impressed with the efficiency of the staff, cleanliness of the room and the public areas, quality of the food and service at the breakfast. We highly recommend the Barcelo Málaga and look forward to staying there again.

Great Hotel, Friendly Staff and very Welcoming. Rooms are excellently presented and Clean. Fantastic Location next to the train station and can get a taxi into the City Center or Marina for 6 Euros. Only 20 minutes in a taxi from Airport. Prices at the bar and the City as a whole are very reasonable. Great City break. Will be returning and booking in at this Hotel.

We were given a room with a door in between ours and another room. It was locked but the other room happened to have really loud guests and the door was absolutely not soundproof like advertised. We could hear their exact words and it did not feel like we paid for a private room at all. The rooftop is made to seem much larger in the photos than in reality. Friendliest most accommodating staff of any hotel I’ve stayed at! They are so wonderful! Food was great and the pool is a nice extra. Beds are extremely comfortable! Strong shower pressure and clean rooms.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. All the facilities I needed were there. The rooms were of a good size; the bathroom was nice. From our balcony we could see the sea in the distance. The hotel is located right next to the train station. It is a 20-25 minute walk from the center of the city. Breakfast was excellent.

I always come to this hotel for the summer holidays and for the Christmas in Spain. The location is fantastic, it is very to the main station of Malaga. Right next to the train station, easy to walk. There is a TAPAS restaurant with a high Google rating downstairs. I personally tested that the food was not cooked before it was served. I was speechless. The service attitude of the hotel waiters was quite good and enthusiastic.

It's close to the train station, but well connected to the city center through bus and metro. The room is small but neat and clean. The problem is that it isn’t very well soundproofed. You can the water running when someone next room uses the tap.

I booked a room for one person and it felt a little stuffy. I turned up the air conditioner and it felt much better. The room was spacious enough. The breakfast was good, but the hotel charges for lunch and dinner were too expensive.

Location was good, and parking is provided with 6Euro charge. I like the location but rooms were too small, we went in October and felt like ventilation was not great in room, also room had the particular smell. The hotel is close to the sea, but it is separated by a road, so there is no invincible sea view, and there are no shops around. Basically, you can only use the restaurant attached to the hotel. The room is ok, but the traffic is very inconvenient, so you must use a taxi.

Stayed four nights. We were given an upgrade from a standard to a superior room upon arrival. The room was really comfortable with 2 balconies looking onto the street below. The pool area is nice although can get busy with decking sections quite narrow. Staff very friendly and happy to help in every way to make your stay enjoyable. What I will oddly point out that we liked about this hotel was that besides how fantastic the rooms were, we arrived very early to our hotel because of a late flight(2:30am) and we were greeted warmly by the receptionist who was very kind and helpful. Had an good stay with my mom. The room was clean, spacious enough for two people, and very nicely decorated. It had small balconies if you need fresh air. The staff at Hotel Soho Boutique Las Vegas we’re brilliant nothing was ever to much and we’re extremely helpful with request or question. The location is perfect near the beach and a short walk to the town centre. The is a regular bus service near by and that helps getting around. Overall a great hotel that enhanced our holiday.

This hotel is next to a big outlet shopping mall . Not many restaurants nearby , but there’s one Burger King next to the hotel . Lobby pretty new and the front office staff are friendly and helpful . We choose this hotel because it is near the Malaga airport

The hotel is very easy to reach from the airport by bus (bus going to malaga city is 0nly 5 mins journey to hotel stop then 6 min walk over walk bridge) to reach hotel if coming from airport...if stopping on way to airport from Malaga City, it is 2mins walk) taxi or Car would also be easy. There is only Burger King in vacinity other than hotel for something to eat but huge Carrefour and shopping centre...

A gem in Malaga Centro We returned to this hotel, having stayed there in January. Again, it was fabulous. Lovely hotel in the heart of Malaga but on a quiet street. The room was fantastic with a great bed and shower. The rooftop bar is perfect for a late evening drink. The location is great as it’s just off the super tourist streets so it’s quiet. Loads of restaurants close by.

The Mariposa, Malaga. The Mariposa Hotel in Malaga is a nice place with clean good rooms , bathroom etc. The breakfast included in the room price ( if you wish) is quite sumptuous with hotel & cold food with a good variety of things as well. Though I couldn’t visit it , I was told that the rooftop bar was a good place for the evening.

A lovely hotel close to the city centre and all of the sights. From the minute we arrived we were looked after and felt special. From the room upgrade with balconies and views to the fantastic breakfast. We loved our stay at the Soho Boutique Colon.

Nice people at the front desk, well situated

The room is a bit small, after all, it is a tourist city and the price is high. But it is all IKEA furniture, familiar feeling, clean and tidy. Breakfast is cheap. The location is also good, only three minutes to the beach. The rooftop swimming pool has a view of the Alcazar Castle, the sunset on the beach, and the bullring. This place was great value for location. Right behind the Bull ring and a short stroll to the port and the old town. The room was lovely and bright and spacious we had a little balcony but there is a lovely roof top terrace with a pool and sun loungers, it also had onsite parking for €15 a day. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Nice quiet hotel about 10 to 15 minutes from the historical center. It was pretty colorful and beach themed which we thought was nice. The room itself was very spacious and quiet as well. Really do not have anything negative to say about the hotel, we would recommend it!

Stayed here for two nights at the end of our trip to Southern Spain. Room was clean and had a coffee maker and safe, which was nice. There was a tiny balcony with a couple chairs and a table. Fantastic hotel on edge of Malaga. Perfect location for the beach and port 2 minutes walk from the beach. 20 minutes walk from the port. 35 minutes walk from train station. It offered everything I wanted from a hotel. Great staff. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Clean bedrooms. Great value. Other guests were a little loud until midnight, but then quietened down.

I wanted something close to the beach and this is a walk away. The lobby and the small terrace at the entrance area are kind of cute, and very comfortable. I don't give it 5 because it doesn't have swimming pool... But who needs it if you have the beach close by!

Okay, this is a cute hotel with super friendly staff, very clean and cozy. I did find it however to be very noisy, especially once breakfast kicked off in the morning, it sounded like the kitchen was two meters from my pillow and plates were being tossed around non stop. I would imagine rooms above the ground floor would have to be quieter than ground floor, so when booking, seek a higher level floor

Superior price value, clean, and great staff. Breakfast crew fantastic. Hope to stay again soon. Highly recommended and a nice walking or convenient low cost bus ride to museums and high end restaurants. A must when in Malaga.
