Great location, breakfast isn't bad. Overall, good value for money.
friendly staff, 10-20 minutes walk to all spots
I really liked this hotel. The location is excellent as it is about a five minute walk to the historic town centre so it is very close to restaurants, shops and attractions. The room was a typical Ibis room - basic but clean and well thought out. There is a nice bar restaurant downstairs. The staff were all friendly, particularly the women cleaning the rooms. The elevator was a bit scary with lots...
This is a large hotel that offers good value for money. My stay was alright, nothing particularly stood out. The room was quite spacious, and I didn't experience any major inconveniences. The location is also decent.
An absolutely fantastic hotel! It's also super convenient for transportation. What really surprised and delighted me was that it even had air conditioning! Haha, I totally wasn't expecting that, so it was a pleasant surprise!
The room was great, very clean, and the staff provided excellent service. Highly recommend.

I am really satisfied with the service. It is a brand new hotel with in a new brand. I haven't been to this new brand so I can not compare the differences. The staff was so helpful
Friendly and helpful receptionists. Upgraded my room! It was a spacious, clean, welcoming and quiet room, with a nice view. It's well located in a safe and well-lit area. It's just a 5 min brisk walk to the nearest MRT station, and 15 to 20 min walk to the city centre along the river or harbour. Lovely. It provides all the bath necessities but would be nice to have an electric kettle. I miss my early...
Great location near the train station. Lots of cafes and shops. The hotel has no restaurant but that's not a problem with all of the choices nearby. The rooms are basic but clean and the bed was very comfortable. They also offer reasonably priced early check in and late check out. Excellent budget choice.
The building looks new. The room is not spacious but clean and comfortable. The front desk receptionists for the day and night shift are both friendly and speak fluent English so there's no language barrier or miscommunication.
Very nice hotel, friendly staffs, cleaned and easy access to bus stop and metro station near
Every single day at 8 AM heavy construction incredibly loud started next to our room.
Hair dryer is a must!
Whose idea was the half glass door for the bathroom?
A couple of small bottles of water goes a long way...

The hotel is very clean and good service,
But I experienced a bad situation in my last day, which is the heater is not working and I asked them they told me it’s your fault but I was feeling good at that night. I couldn’t even sleep so that is my bad experience.
Great hotel and service, best few days in Malaga. Brekfast was decent. This is the second time I stayed in Ibis hotel. Keep up the good work!
A very budget hotel.. quick check in from friendly and helpful staff. It's called budget so I guess that's telling the truth.
Absolutely avoid the so called restaurant.. it is just re-heated frozen meals at overpriced tarrifs.. Best look for food elsewhere or eat before arriving.
The room was very basic but acceptable for one night Room size was okay for solo or couple travellers.
Breakfast...
Great hotel to spend the night before or after your flight. Super comfy, location is good. The only thing I would recommend the hotel to do is create a shuttle to the airport - otherwise the taxi is 9-20€ depending on the hour of the day.
For the price paid, this hotel delivers exactly what it promises: a decent, clean, and quiet place near the airport. You’re not paying extra for unnecessary luxuries and you can rest without worries. Very good value for money – would definitely stay again for a layover
I stayed at Ibis Budget Airport for few days with my wife.
We had the best time and great experience here, all was over our expectations. We chose to take dinner and lunch in town, but in the last night had dinner at their restaurant, and the portions were enough and tasty. Instead, every day we had breakfast at hotel which was diversified, fruits, sweets, ham, cheese, vegetables and some local type...

This is a regular choice for me in Malaga. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There is a cafe in the hotel and lots of restaurants within a few minutes walk. Late check out is offered for a great price.. Enjoyable stay as always.
Budget hotel, very clean and 9 EUROS breakfast it's great; Location wise it's perfect. Next to big shopping mall.
I am very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room is extremely small and cramped, making it uncomfortable to relax. The bathroom design is inconvenient, with the toilet separated from the shower in an impractical way. The towels provided are very small and unsuitable for proper use. The window in the room does not open, leaving the atmosphere stuffy and unpleasant. In addition, I noticed...

A very well-connected place, close to the airport and just a bus ride away from the city center. The room was clean, and my stay was wonderful. 100% recommended.
I reserved this hotel at night on the very day of my stay. I got the first room on the 0 floor. I couldnt lock my room door. So I felt a little unsafe. The amenities were great but the room was old.
The food was okay and the service was decent. Nothing special, but not bad either. The place is clean and the portions were fair. Good for a quick meal
really nice way better then expected. Staff were very welcoming thanks to LEO on the phone. walls a bit to thin so it was hard to sleep but other than that perfect
What a great hotel. No idea why it is 2 star, our family room ( 4 big beds ) seemed brand new, absolutely spotless. Only stayed the one night, would have liked to stay longer. Bus stop right outside, bus number 20 right to central Malaga. Great stay!

I had a pleasant stay here. The staff was nice, bed was comfortable and food was pretty good.
We stayed there with a large group some time ago, and this hostel is adequate for sleeping.
The building is very basic.
The beds in the rooms are rickety, and the mattresses and bedding are thin.
Breakfast consists mostly of packaged bread/rolls.
The hostel is inconveniently located outside of downtown Málaga, so you have to get to the center first.
Everything was excellent. The room, the facilities, the breakfast. I truly recommend the place. The only detail is that Wi-Fi did not fully reach my room. I had to go to the corridor sometimes. Besides that, it was excellent.
Friendly welcome, the building and room were clean and comfortable. Not far from the bus station and a 10-minute drive from the airport! Overall, great value for money! We recommend! The street was quite noisy, but nothing overwhelming.
The rooms are nice, but not very large (unless you're alone). The shower was the right size. The included breakfast is basic: coffee, milk (including without lactose and soy milk), tea, orange juice, bread, cheese, butter, jam, olive oil, cereals, muffins, fruits (apples, pears and nectarines). It's a nice location about a 20 min walk from the center and from the Maria Zambrano station.
Everyone is welcome
It was a very pleasant experience, with the staff super dedicated to answering any questions. The property has enough amenities for a comfortable stay, including a lovely garden to enjoy, a reading room, a dining room, laundry and Zoom services, and lockers for luggage storage. Highly recommended for solo travelers, travelers with children, couples, and students.

Staff very helpful and professional. Hotel in a great location. Quiet area at night. Single room but quite spacious. Cons: Bed okay but not overly comfortable. Towels were old, thin and scratchy.
The room was clean and compact, all staff friendly and helpful. The only downside was the window blind could not be opened fully, and I missed fresh air....however the price , location and staff more than made up for it.
Breakfast was not included but for the price it was economical and was ok. The room was Ok with a single bed a little bit pricey but the location is very central it couldn’t have been more central. The bathroom doesn’t have a curtain. It is a good hygiene but splashing the floor with water is inevitable. The staff is very hospitable and have day and night presence. All in all not all and not less...
Check in took 50 minutes, which didn't give a good first impression. The room was tiny with no external light, the bed hard and uncomfortable with a paper thin pillow. Although, the shower room was fine. The location, very central, close to the cathedral and Malaga museum.
Good location
The location of this hotel is excellent . Really good for the old town and the airport bus . The room.was clean the shower was good ...the bed was ok the pillow was as flat as a cream cracker . The service from the breakfast staff was good ..but it was all very basic ..it's cheap and mildly cheerful . Would stay again but would see if there was anything else a bit better before choosing
Nice, convenient location
Super convenient location, spacious room with all amenities, and nice, friendly staff. The room had a strong cigar smell when I arrived but it faded away after a couple of hours so I just guessed it was a bad guest staying there before my arrival.

Really lovely hotel, with lots of character. Clean and comfortable, with a Smart TV, which is always good.
Only slight snag was the 'soundproofing'....it was actually that quiet!

We are very happy with the service, the cleanliness, the area and the facilities. The bed was comfortable, the neighbourhood is great - one of the oldest in Málaga, direct access to the beach with a great play area, perfect for families
Not too loud
Hotel is situated around 4-5km from town centre. You can walk around sea front and enjoy beautiful wievs or you can take bus. The bus stop is 5 min walk from hotel. The room was nice, quiet and clean. I was happy for fridge so I could have bought some food. The only problem was that check-in time was only till 4pm and receptionist didn't speak English at all. The key feature off this hotel is its location, which is ideal for everything you would want to see and do in Malaga. The rooms are good value, very clean, a good size and comfortable - we had a large window overlooking a quiet pedestrian street. Breakfast was OK but not great. Service was fine.
We have just returned from a one night stay in Sur Hotel I was a little worried because it only had two stars, but the hotel is spotless staff so friendly we had continental breakfast which was great value at 7.50€ and you’re right in the centre of everything i can’t recommend this hotel highly enough we will return.🇮🇪Ireland
We booked this hotel as it is a great location and it has private parking. The first room we were given was an inside room so we asked to change to an outside room. We did prefer this room although it was smaller than the original and smelt musty. Unfortunately I left my husband’s medication in a tablet box in the first room. When I realised I went to reception and the man there was very unhelpful...
Things did not bode well for our stay at check in where there was only one staff member behind the desk and a crowd of people looking to check in. The rooms are fairly basic and ours faced the pedestrian street so it was quite noisy at night. I think the shower cubicle was possibly the smallest I'd ever seen. There is A/C & the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was also fine & the location is excellent

Extremely bright. In terms of street noise as well as the noise of other guests. Through the ventilation shaft in the bathroom you can hear your neighbor doing his necessities on the toilet. The mattress is not good. Good location to the city center and the main train station. Breakfast is average.

Fantastically located in the heart of historic Málaga. Rooms are fresh and clean. Only criticism is that for a double room you get one sachet of Nescafé coffee, one sachet of Nescafé decaffeinated coffee and a single milk sachet... defies ant sort of logic!
This is an okay budget hotel. If you are looking for something centrally located at a great price this is the spot. It is a quiet hotel from the outside but unfortunately there is no insulation on the doors. If there is any sound in the hallway you will hear it in your room. The bed is hard and the pillows are flat.
Excellent location and really quiet. Was a bit concerned that location would be noisy during late evening/ night time but the extra soundproofing to the window meant we heard no noise even with people sat outside at the bar below. I will be returning again in August.
We recently stayed at this hotel and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The room was spacious and clean, and the view of the Alcazaba was stunning. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel's amenities were great.

It was really good fir a hostel. Having air conditioning on those warm nights made all the difference. There's well equipped kitchen, but i didn't use it. I just wanted a place to sleep and shower and this hostel did that perfectly.
The hotel is located by the sea, near a large supermarket but few restaurants. The room was small but clean; the bed was narrow and uncomfortable, and the air conditioning was a bit slow to cool. Fortunately, Spain wasn't that hot in May! The shared toilets and showers were generally unhygienic. The water pressure was decent, but there was nowhere to put clothes, which was a bit awkward. Furthermore...
What a wonderful stay. I stayed in a twin room . The beds were so comfy and the hostel was kept very clean. Great roof terrace! It felt very safe and friendly. Johnny is a legend!!!! Great bus service into Malaga centro and lovely walks and local bars and restuarants I will definetly be back again.
Having never previously stayed in a hostel before I booked this place due to the price and other reviews but still wasn't sure what to expect. I can honestly say this place has given me the confidence to book a hostel again and If I come back to the area I will certainly book here a second time. The whole place is very clean and well maintained. The owner is available for the majority of every day...
