Great place with kind staff. Overall very clean, rooms are terrific. Great location as well, near a bus stop 10 min away from the main square.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Casona de la Reina. The location is perfect — just a walking distance to all main attractions of Toledo and right in front of the river, offering a peaceful and charming setting. The hotel is very clean, quiet, and comfortable, ideal for a relaxing visit.

The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, always ready with a smile and good advice. The breakfast was delicious and generous, with a great variety to start the day.

Highly recommended for anyone visiting Toledo — a perfect combination of comfort, location, and hospitality.

Sadly, our two day trip was blighted by bedbugs in room 6. After spending hours squashing bugs, our bed was splatted with blood, so at 3.30am we requested a change of room. We were met with sympathy from the receptionist, who gave us room 25. This was free of bedbugs, however, the old blood stained sheets alerted us that this has been an on-going issue! Upon check-out we requested a discount for the first night; after calling the manager, another very pleasant receptionist told us they could not discount the rooms as we ‘had made use of them’, but…they would not charge us for parking (€36)! We asked for assurance that Room 6 would be fumigated, but remain unconvinced this will happen! To add insult to injury, we had to leave our luggage outside our Spanish house on arrival home, and steam clean it before bringing inside. All clothing from that trip has had to be laundered, regardless if worn, or not. A blot on an otherwise lovely trip to Toledo.

Sadly, not a pleasant experience staying for two nights, during Corpus Christi ( June 18-20 2025).
Our first night was met with horror as we battled with bedbugs around the pillow end of the bed. After killing in excess of 20 bugs, leaving the sheets and pillowcases blotted with blood at 3.am, we went to reception and asked to be moved from room 6.
The receptionist was pleasant, apologetic and embarrassed by the situation and gave us a new room upstairs, room 25. This room was clean and did not have bedbugs, however, the sheets were stained from previous bedbug blood spots!
We eventually slept from 5.30 am- 9 am!
Upon check-out on Friday 20th, we approached another very nice and polite receptionist and asked for a discount for the first night ( the horror night), as we would also have to fumigate our luggage before taking into our Spanish home. She said she would call the manager, so one hour later, we went to pay the bill, to be told there would be no discount for the rooms…because we’d used them! But…they waived the parking fee of €36!
We also requested assurance that Room 6 would be fumigated before any other unsuspecting guests used it; only time will tell if it has now been deep cleaned.

I loved the area because it was away from the tourists.
Location was in walking distance from local restaurants and historical landmarks.
Clean, tidy and nice staff.

We chose this hotel because of the option to download your luggage right in front of the hotel. The hotel also has basement parking for €15p/d.
But parking in front of the hotel for checking in and download our luggage (for 40)min caused us a parking ticket of €60 !! We should have moved our car quickly after downloading the luggage or immediately took the basement parking. So our experience did not start very positive.

(We then saw...Every day at 5pm the speedcop on a scooter showed up and starting writing tickets for the non Recidencial cars parked in the street infront of the hotel . When paying our parking ticket the next day, the lady was surpised that we got a ticket for parking there for such a short time.
She said it was almost as if somebody at the Hotel had informed the traffic police !!! May be a ticket of that amount if we have parked there for a 1 or 2 days...

The King size bed was very comfortable especially after a day of walking hills up and down. The linen were crispy white and clean. The overall cleanliness was good--- especially the shower !!

The rooms were a bit small and it was difficult to get into the shower. The bidet of Room no .16 were place right in the middle of the bathrooom. Getting into the bath to have a shower was a bit of a challenge to move around the shower door (May be it should have fit better next to the toilet). Nice little windows for fresh air, although from our room no view. And good working air con.

(We would have loved if the Receptionist has given more advice regarding Restaurants nearby or public transport. Or gave indications of routes that has less steep hills climbing to reach the city centre. She was not very helpfull when checking in). We stayed for 3 days !!

We also would hv loved to have a kettle in the room to enjoy a decent big Americano.
The Hotel also offered a breakfast (€8.50). We did not utilized that.
The stay was pricy for us for such a small room and difficult shower entance.
Not very good value for money.

Room was fine, but for price should have been better.

Cozy hotel.
The room was big enough that you won't hit your toes against anything. The breakfast was okay and priced well. The desk attendants were very helpful and provided good tips. I would stay again if I find myself in Toledo again.

The hotel is located by the river at the foot of the hill on which Toledo old town is situated. It’s slightly away from the centre and very easy to find the way there by car. We booked a double room for one night, which turned out to be the corner room on the first floor overlooking the street. It was medium sized, nicely decorated, spotlessly clean, well appointed, with a large comfortable bed. We heard no street noise overnight. The hotel receptionist was very helpful, particularly when she came outside to assist us with the parking meter (see below). The walk to the old town from the hotel is up steep cobbled streets and I expect is very tiring, particularly in hot weather. However, opposite the hotel is a bus stop from which the No.12 mini bus leaves every 30 mins. For 1 euro this will take you the 5 stops to the junction of Cuesta Carlos V and the Plaza Zocodover at the North West corner of the Alcazar. The downhill walk back to the hotel from this area is no hardship, even after a big meal. There are plenty of bars/restaurants around Plaza Zocodover and nearby Plaza Magdalena, although the restaurants don’t start to open until about 20:00. A bit further along Cuesta Carlos V from the bus stop is where the tourist “train” runs from. This is a pleasant and informative 45mins trip around the city walls with stunning views of Toledo from the opposite side of the river. Parking, we have a large SUV (Jag F-Pace) and parking it was the main reason for choosing this hotel. It has its own garage for 15 euro a night. The entrance door is wide enough for any size car to get in or out, but the 10 or so parking bays inside are quite narrow. Getting into one when the surrounding bays are empty and can be driven into to help manoeuvring would be no problem either. However if the surrounding bays are taken, I imagine the bigger the car, the more awkward the necessary shuffling would be. In the end we didn’t need the garage because there are 8 or so on street parking bays directly outside the hotel, and we arrived about 15:00 and dropped lucky and got one. In fact the closer it got to 17:00, the more spaces became available. These bays are in the orange zone 1 area which means there is a charge to park between 10:00 x 14:00 and 17:00 x 21:00 on weekdays. It’s 3 euro for each 4 hour period. The parking meter is a bit complicated, but as best I remember it goes like this. Touch the screen to turn on. Then press the key with the flag icon on it. Select English. Select “general” ticket. Type in your car number and then pay. Display ticket in your windscreen. You can pay at any time but the ticket doesn’t start until the charge period. We paid 3 euro at 15:00, which covered us until 10:00 the following day, by which time we’d left. I imagine there are nicer hotels, in better locations, further up in the old town, but with a car there are only a couple of underground public car parks up there and some of the streets are very narrow.
