We stayed at The Madrid Edition while celebrating my friend’s 40th birthday in Spain, and it was the perfect choice for the trip. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt special and well thought out.

The hotel kindly surprised us with complimentary cava and a birthday cake, which was such a lovely touch and made the celebration even more memorable. We had also requested a flower arrangement in advance, and it was done beautifully—exactly as we had hoped.

The location is another huge advantage. The hotel sits right in the middle of the city, making it extremely convenient to walk to restaurants, bars, and shopping areas. It made exploring Madrid effortless.

What truly stood out was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

The only small downside was the room ambience lighting felt a little too dim at times. Aside from that minor detail, everything—from the lobby and facilities to the rooms—was excellent.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend The Madrid Edition to anyone visiting Madrid, especially for a special occasion.

Best bathroom of a hotel I've stayed un Europe. Beds are big and comfortable. Rooms are spacious and the hotel in general is a high standard 5 star hotel. The location is in the heart of Madrid, close to every single attraction. Nothing can go wrong with this hotel (except the price tag of course).

This hotel features a stylish design and an excellent location, right in the heart of the old town. It's conveniently close to many attractions, making it very easy to explore the city. While the rooms are on the smaller side, it's still regarded as one of the better hotel options in the area.

Excellent location, with most attractions within walking distance. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, making for a very pleasant stay. The hotel boasts a great design, and room service was incredibly prompt. Highly satisfied.

This is a serious complaint about the restaurant Market of this hotel. I stayed here for three days this time, every time I sit there for more than 10mins just to wait for service. Others western tourists got served the water immediately. The waiter also did small talk with them, but me? Totally ignored by all the waiters!
I have to call them, after I just ordered the sandwich then the waiter grabbed the menu from me! I have to chase him to ask for tea!

What an amazing stay we had at the Madrid Edition. It’s such a beautiful and well appointed hotel. Very friendly and professional staff. The rooms are spacious and have nice amenities. The hotel has an excellent lobby bar, a perfect cocktailbar and a club! We loved everything about it. We will definitely come back!!

This is the BEST Edition I've stayed ever, from the moment I got off the taxi, the staff was so attentive, from checking in to going to my room, everything was seamless. Every staff you meet in the hotel was friendly and welcoming. Facilities in the hotel is second to none and love the interior design in the hotel. Definitely will stay again

The staff at The MADRID EDITION are first class. From the valet, to the front desk to the cleaning staff, everyone was very professional, polite and accommodating. (which you would expect from a 5* hotel, but don't often receive these days) The rooms are spacious, contemporary and very well maintained. The gym is large relative to most hotel gym's and the spa is fabulous. The hotel is also pet friendly, which was important to us. The staff communication via small letters under the door was also a nice personal touch. We couldn't have had a better experience and will be back again on our next trip to Madrid. Thanks to the whole team, with a special acknowledgment to Sebastian, who works at the spa and guest boutique, we couldn't have asked for a more genuinely friendly and welcoming conversation. 5 stars all around!

Me and my husband had a wonderful stay. We stayed for four nights and it was such a wonderful experience. The rooms are spacious and had so much natural light and it was great. The staff was amazing. I unfortunately don’t recall the name of the young man but he was my favorite staff member at this hotel. He was so friendly and so hospitable. I can’t wait to come back here on our next trip.

The location of the hotel is the best. It is far from the noise but close enough to all the major attractions. Our room was 😍 with high ceilings and comfortable bed. The staff is very polite and friendly. I will stay here again. I wish the restaurant was open for lunch and dinner.

Dirty beaten up trash can with a plastic bag in it in the bathroom. Cheap slightly yellow crunchy bed sheets. Only one pillow per person and it’s a thin one. Dirty floor tiles in the bathroom. Rusty chair as well in there, not even sure why as it’s a stool with metal legs.

The good stuff? Wonderful staff, responsive and polite, the location cannot be beaten. Beautiful building. If they fixed these issues it would be an incredible place to stay. Details matter guys! The difference between a tip top place and a meh one is as small as what I wrote. The bathroom should be super clean and not have beaten up and dirty items in it.

The location was convenient. The service was fine. The room was clean and the size was adequate. The ground floor room was actually a semi basement, it had a musty smell. The wifi was terrible at times. The breakfast was pretty good, hot meals, like eggs and bacon had to be ordered, were fresh and better than lukewarm buffet style.

The staff were polite and genuinely tried to be helpful;
however, the hotel’s architecture poses serious problems. Our room faced the inner courtyard, which made proper ventilation impossible. The courtyard is covered with glass, resulting in very limited air circulation, and when it rains, the noise becomes extremely disturbing.
I stayed with my daughter, and while sharing a double bed was not an issue, obtaining a second duvet turned into an unnecessary struggle. On the first day, we received a thick duvet without a duvet cover, so it was unusable. On the second day, we asked the housekeeping staff again, but the second duvet was placed inside the existing one. When we asked once more in the evening, another duvet arrived—again without a cover. After requesting it yet again, we were given only a single sheet, which could not be properly used as a duvet cover. As a result, we were still unable to use the second duvet.
Overall, I did not find the price–service ratio satisfactory.

It was very very busy. The menu looked great and ribs appetizing, but in reality they were very chewy as they had not been slow cooked. Service was fast and the impromptu line dance from the staff was entertaining.

Trying too hard to be a real American restaurant but the food is not that great. The staff is friendly so that is a positive thing.

We arrived at 3:30, it was busty and we were told it would be a 10 minute wait, fine we said so sat by the bar expecting to get a drink. Well the staff were all going non-stop but there was no one serving at bar and now half a dozen of us sat twiddling our thumbs. We eventually did get a drink and a table, but again a long wait to order our food, which we did just after 4pm!
I had the Sirloin Steak, I asked for medium, it was medium rare, as was my partners, still tasted good and I recommend the onion rings as a side.
So, good food, the Waitress's were doing a sterling job serving, but the place more staff and this would sadly but me off eating there again.
